If Clearlake are able to turn a profit on this clown, then they should be given statues outside the Shed end, and this forum should be renamed in their honour.

More name calling but you're the first on here to cry when someone calls you a name.

You can dislike a player without being childish.

Doesn't look like there are any takers for him at the minute. Can't say I'm surprised. He was meant to be going to Bournemouth originally, hopefully they might rekindle their interest if the price is right.

I think that could actually be his best position. Maybe a left sided attacker in 4-2-2-2 with Delap or Pedro. His finishing lets him down too often.

At least it would save his teammates the lung bursting runs alongside him only for him to ignore because he has no awareness. With him on the wing, at least when it takes him four touches to get the ball under control only to fumble it off the pitch, the rest of the team can conserve a little energy by just watching it unfold.

He is without a shadow of a doubt the worst striker we have ever had pass through the club.

Has me yearning for the days of Kezman or Pato, even Falcao!

Recency bias or exaggerating for effect. Those 3 strikers you've listed were far worse. I could name a handful of others that were worse too.

Still early days.

There will almost certainly be a demand for a striker that's still young and got double digits in 2 seasons at Prem, issue is I think we will be asking for too much.

Fingers crossed we are able to offload him.

You know the fear you have when a former player returns to play against you and you just know they will score, would never be more confident that won't happen in Jackson's case.

With Tammy going to Besiktas and Jhon Duran on his way to Fenerbahce, i keep praying and hoping that Galatasary step up and blunder their way into Jackson.

Jackson has been playing like sh*t lately, no doubt, but I happen to think he's not as bad as his current form may suggest. And tbh, I haven't seen anything from Delap yet to convince me he's any better.

Going after a player who's in bad form, but still young enough to turn things around is very moneyball'esque.... not crazy about it. Ship him elsewhere if we can't use him.

I think you're getting confused. Moneyball is using stats to try to accurately value a player by using tangible qualities usually through data that lead to scoring despite not always scoring and then buying them. Eg. positioning in the box, shot selection, key passes on top of intangible qualities like breaking down opponent gameplays, occupying defenders, throwing the opponent's structure into disarray etc.

It has nothing to do with buying young out of form players.

I think we have every right to.

Not in a position where we are desperate to sell and when strikers in weaker leagues are fetching €60-80m off of one good season we can arguably do the same with Jackson, who has already proven to be a goal scorer in this league (albeit streaky) and gets involved in on/off the ball actions.

Like one of those women who fall in love with serial killers.... they are always so confident that with the right guidance, Manson, Bundy, Ramirez. or Dahmer, will see the light and reveal themselves to actually be harmless angels and stand up citizens.

Keep the faith....

Keep the Bait 😂

Sconnie, if there was a striker who was " a proven goalscorer in this league and gets involved in on/off the ball action" " shouldn't we be be keeping him ?

I'm giving Delap till November before the knives come out !

No way can Jackson be described as a proven goal scorer. As for involvement in on/off the ball action - not sure what that amounts to other than picking up needless cards!

Not sure what folk are expecting from Delap when he's only just joined the squad for this tournament, after a long season, but I still like what I've seen so far. Have no doubt that he will score more goals and contribute a whole lot more than Jackson was able to. It will only be that strange contingent of our "fan-base" that want us to play superstars or at least foreign players and don't like less glamourous home-grown talent that will have the knives out for Delap.

Agreed Nibsy! . The worst thing for us is if he doesn't score for a few games, then it'll be stuff like " it's been 360 minutes without a goal " stuff.

I watched all his Ipswich PL goals yesterday, some crackers in there and a few that he makes for himself . I like his style too. People wondering about his aggressive attitude, didn't do Diego Costa any harm !

yep - cracking goal scorer. 1 premier league goal in 7 months. since early December.

Look forward to you calling out those who think it is ok to abuse/name call fellow shed end members who contribute to the running and community of this forum.

When Jackson is a poster on this forum, I will stop calling him a useless c**t.

Difference is those clubs do not want to sell as they are their main strikers, I don't believe the same applies to Jackson.

A few games? Jacksons current tally is 1 in almost 8 months!

You are complaining about his name calling but you do the same to me, including calling me other users because my opinion is different to yours. You abuse EVERYONE who does not have the same opinion as you, how shameless of you to come at him with this victim mentality? 🤮

Remains to be seen. Jackson is Maresca's dream striker remember.

Also had 14 goal contributions in the 5 months prior. Almost like it goes with my point he's a streaky player...

Streaky is a couple of games without a goal. Not 8 months!
