I can't honestly see why the FA consider Paramount to be true competitors of Sky Sports or TNT (BT) sounds like yet more anti-Chelsea rhetoric to me 🙄 I wonder if they even asked Sky/BT if they would be upset about it ? I'd have insisted on some sort of proof either way rather than rely on some old fuddy duddy bureaucrat at the FA having "concerns" ...

BT didn't seem to mind that being on the shirt in the CL final.

There you go then ... if they aren't going to object to it in the biggest club fixture of the season, why on earth would they be bothered about a team in 12th in the PL LOL. I'd be really pushing back on this if I was Clearlake ...
June 19, 20233 yr i had a bit of a gambling problem myself, it's hilarious that that's preferred over some broadcasting company that doesn't even broadcast sports
June 19, 20233 yr Gambling sponsors are banned in two years anyway aren't they? Might as well fleece them for as much money as we can until it comes into play.
June 19, 20233 yr It looks as though the Club, are just taking as much money as possible in the short term, in the hope that when the 1 year deal expires next year, we will be back in the Champions League and able to command the higher Advertising revenues. I hope this is not overly optimistic 🙄

I am not sure they had anything on their shirts, did they? EDIT: You're rigtht, they did have this on their shirts for this final. Edited June 19, 20233 yr by WhiteWall

I thought that in 2 years you can't have the betting logo on the front of the shirts, but it can go elsewhere eg on the sleeves ?

Well SKY run football these days , it'll be written into the sponsorship deal with the EPL I would imagine. Not enough for them to f**k about with kick off days and times . But that's the price we pay for accepting their money ..
July 2, 20233 yr We've had betting partners over the years, William Hill , 1xbet, and Parimatch who pulled out when we were sanctioned. Add to that do we still have betting kiosks inside the stadium? Although I wouldn't gamble because of the shirt sponsorship, they don't pay out good money if there wasn't s benefit to the betting company.
July 5, 20233 yr wasn't worth it anyway degrades the club maybe we can make a deal with Gazprom it was Boris Johnson who prevented a peace deal to be made anyway so should be alright or maybe or Edited July 5, 20233 yr by azpi28
July 5, 20233 yr Think it'll be Pornhub or something similar, myself. I don't trust the ownership to get anything right.

You're right. Sleeve sponsorship only on match-day shirts. But no restrictions on training gear or ground advertising. So basically a token response.
