July 24, 20232 yr Younes had quoted from the CEO over at Strasbourg. He basically said after the US tour the plan is Gabriel goes to them, and was the plan before we signed him from Santos. May be where the Olise interest comes in.
July 25, 20232 yr Diego Moreira or Angelo? which one should go out on loan? I would keep Angelo in the squad and loan out Diego. The reason I mention this is that I was reading that Diego Moreira is saying that he is looking forward to a season under Pochettino - being coached by Pochettino. Both are left-footed. Both are promising, but Angelo has a lot more experience and seems far more 'ready' for first team footy.

I imagine Moreira stays playing with the U21's while training for the first team and getting cup games. Angelo looks more ready but he needs constant minutes, i'd send him out to Strausbourg as is planned then hopefully have one of Kudos/Olise coming in to compete with Madueke.

Wouldn't have thought so, played several years in the Brazilian top flight and played for the national teams U-20's. Think Andrey Santos' issue that most of his adult football was played in the Brazilian second division, hence why we sent him back to Vasco now they're in the top division and his work permit is passed now.

Oh ofcourse, because what we really need right now is an experienced and vastly overpaid star who has seen his best days, who can sit on the bench because we play better without him. Yup that'll sort it.
October 7, 20232 yr We really did we really found a young gem early, fair play to the team behind this signing and the many others they are truly building a team for the next decade.

February 3, 20242 yr Has the most key passes per 90 out of any 21 and under winger in Europe. Even more than Doku.
February 3, 20242 yr Yeah he's gone under the radar quite a bit, I like Angelo, he really caught my eye in pre-season. I think there's a good player there.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Poch actually wanted to keep him in the squad. Long term it wouldn't surprise me to see Angelo turning out to be a better wing option than Madueke.

February 3, 20242 yr If you compare them both, since they are the same position - a left footer RW generally, I'd say Angelo looks more naturally talented and looks like he has a higher ceiling. Noni looks like he's never in control of the ball or has much of a clue where he's going with it. He's a bit ahead of Angelo at the moment, but I think in time Angelo will overtake him.
February 4, 20242 yr Angelo looks more technically composed and assured. Knows what to do before he gets the ball and has an elegance about him. There are several times where Madueke looks like he has two left feet.

February 5, 20242 yr Angelo is a ball carrier and creator and Noni is more of a goal scorer. Both players can co-exist in the same squad and offer something different depending on opponent. Ones 19 and the other is 21, time is on both of their sides. I don't think it has to be this Angelo v Madueke battle that seems to be forming. The bigger issue is Kendry Paez and Palmer both operating in similar roles as both.

I don't imagine a talent like Palmer will want to stick around a mid table side for long, and top sides will certainly be interested.

Who's going to throw £80m+ at him? City won't buy him back, Liverpool's attack is stacked and doesn't suit their play, Utd isn't a better option, Arsenal have Saka etc. Can't see him going abroad.
