December 27, 20232 yr Team is crying out for a proven striker and their idea is to bring in either Viktor Gyökeres or Benjamin Šeško. One is barely through his first year in top flight football and the other is 20 years old. It's a genuine concern.

December 27, 20232 yr I'd keep just Shields so we can keep on getting City's castaways. Michael Edwards and Joe Shields. Done. 😎

It’s beyond bone headed now and the problem is they will double down to proof they are correct and f**k us over even more before they are eventually sacked.

Its because realistically these are the only strikers that fit the model of giving them a long contract with low wages to keep them on books and make a "profit" on them in the long run, also the idea of amortization/FFP is catching up with us

January 31, 20242 yr Author They appear to be bringing in medium quality players at very high prices. Taking us close to our FFP ceiling causing us to have to sell players before we can buy even more medium quality players at high prices and on long contracts too. Some might wonder who we might sell these misfiring players to, without losing money. You would think Boehly or Eghbali might question this utter madness. January 31, 20242 yr They will double down to save their ass which is natural expect this to continue for a few years
February 1, 20242 yr Author Logic says stop buying players ( roll on the end of the window!). Get rid of these two lightweights. We dont need new players to lose football matches. Save money by not buying players and employing these two. Revisit the plan.

Lamps? They did not keep him on. Tom Glich? They sacked him to. Yet Winstanley and Stewart are still here so they must be happy with them no?
February 4, 20242 yr I am not convinced that they are doing such a bad job. I appreciate that will be a controversial opinion, but each player individually makes sense. caicedo - we overpaid, yet most of us wanted him Enzo -ditto Gusto - decent player, good potential, also contributing now petrovic - looks decent disasi - not bad depth, and versatile. Only stating due to injuries of James, wes and chal mudryk - overpaid, but hardly been given a chance by the manager Madueke - ditto Mudryk palmer - been a success Nkunku - looks decent when fit - been unlucky with injuries. There has of course also been mistakes (Sanchez is a liability, Cucu overpriced, sterling overpriced and too high wages, nico Jackson out of depth, generally too many young £20m plus players etc) Instead of who they have purchased, I think it is just a case of too many in a short space. This has been a hard reset. I think we needed that, but the pace of change is unprecedented. Plus our injuries are by this stage beyond ridiculous
February 4, 20242 yr It’s Mudryk and Madueke I feel we should’ve never bought. Mid table players. No idea what “analytics” they are using to claim they have world class potential. Jackson should’ve been bought on top of a starting ST. Sanchez was and still is a bozo.
February 4, 20242 yr These two idiots should be facing criminal charges for buying these players. I cannot get over how we can spend £1,000,000,000 on total sh*t. Only Palmer is any good and I’m sure they just lucked out on that one.

Jackson is worse than Madueke and about as bad as Mudryk. Absolute clown of a footballer. Only good in the eyes of the opposition because it gives them a chance to laugh at us. Let's be real though, almost the entire squad of players we have signed are mid table or worse. Palmer and Nkunku are the only ones they have bought that are better than mid table. Mudryk, Jackson, they are arguably bottom of the table players. Put them in a team like Luton and they wouldn't even start. Can even be argued that experienced players like Sterling are barely Premier League standard anymore. The only teams he can perform against are Championship teams or teams in the Premier League 15th and lower.

Jackson by himself is asking way too much of him but he’s still doing as good as I expected.
February 4, 20242 yr Stewart's job history : Winstanley's Job History : Not exactly the "A" list is it ?
February 4, 20242 yr I remember when Mikel said he looks at the team and none of them would get in the Teams he played. Guess he knew what he was on about.
February 4, 20242 yr These two need to come forward and explain what is going on, and take some responsibility/accountability.
