The former they are trying to retain, the latter they are trying to push out.

George's biggest problem is that BlueCo/S&W didn't pay anything for him vs the £40m they spent on Garnacho, the £48.5m they spent on Gittens

George is also on £7.5K a week vs £110K for Garnacho, and £108K for Gittens.

Tyrique isn't likely to get much of a look in when there is so much invested in other players in his position (none of whom look much better than he is btw). If he plays ahead of the others then the owners are going to start questioning the expensive transfer signings of the SDs ...

You could argue that in part BlueCo went out and signed Garnacho and Gittens because they didn't rate George, but have we really seen anything that either of them have done that George couldn't do with the same opportunity ? Personally I don't think so ...

Will never get the Garnacho signing - we didn't need him and not many CFC supporters wanted him.

Gittens so far has looked too timid and light-weight but he has shown glimpses of quality and I think (or at least hope) he will turn out to be a better player than George. Like many of us, I've always been a big fan of a youngster coming thorough our academy and getting into the first team but I haven't seen anything from George that makes me think he can be at that level. Think a lower PL side or even a Championship team, pushing for the PL, would be his best bet - maybe with Lamps at Coventry.

Still glad we sold Madueke too - especially now we have Estevao.

I think your conclusions are all wrong. Mine are;

1. Acheampong is seen as a future star. They are protecting him. He could be a mainstay of our first team

2. George is not. He's seen as someone who we could get 25-30m for today, or at best, 30-40m in 3/4 years time. They just don't see him kicking on. Why keep him around for no upside.

The signings of Gittens and Garnacho is because they want someone better. Maybe those signings won't be better, but they might be. And if they have already proven to fail, they won't try and sell them today.

This operates in isolation to the George situation. Who they have tried, tested, and don't like.

Acheampong they do like. They fought for him to stay at the club.

Also, I don't give a sh*t what any website says about wages. It's pointless even trying to understand them at our club.

Yeah, need Estavao with many more minutes. Think Rosenior will need a few months to shake out Maresca's negative football like we saw when he killed the flair out of Poch's side.

Hoping he can find a way to plug the defence and get us scoring.

Genuinely think Gittens will need a full season, said on here a few times he gets a free pass from me but think he's had some strong/ decent moments for us that show he can play.

If Garnacho is 40 million then so is George, dont think theres much between them - but then perhaps im giving the academy too much credit, but keeping more of the players from it we've sold past 18 months would have left us financially much better off. Did you see Villa are looking at Abrahams? Like seeing the ex players come back to the league. Would love to see Gallagher back in the prem, he's best suited to the hurly burly of it.

I don’t think so. Gittens is 2 year older and has had 4 years of top level football. George in contrast is on his 2 year of top flight football and has played 4,700 min less. You invest the same minutes in George, and I am convinced long term he will turn out to be the better player. The only thing Gittens has going for him is his dribbling. He won’t get the space he needs behind the back line in the PL like he did with the Bundesliga high line.

I would even add an extra point in that George's competition, in Garnacho and Gittens come with agent brokered deals. Our agent spending is far and away the biggest spend in the division. What else are we offering up to agents in negotiations? Packages of guaranteed playing minutes? Less so in the case of Tosin (free) and Fofana ( 3 years crocked)

Club probably found out no one was willing to pay the £25m Fulham were offering in the summer. Problem is Italian clubs are cheapskates and I would be shocked if anyone offers over £15m. That is on the club; they should have given him solid minutes to get clubs interested.

I don’t understand the logic in trying to get rid of him when you have 2 underperforming wingers. Common sense approach is to loan him to a PL or a Championship club fighting for promotion places, where he will get solid minutes.

Said it before, but we should have just given him some trust instea dof spunking all that money on both Gittens and Garnacho. Sign Garnacho if you absolutely have to, but not Gittens as well. I am 99% sure if we'd given George a vast majority of the minutes those 2 have had, he'd have produced more. Especially than Gittens has.

Fulham backed out of the deal because Leeds didn't come for Wilson. Whether he wants a loan is another matter. His future lies elsewhere and I suspect he knows it.
