Posted May 6, 20241 yr Given the current squad, with no injuries, what does our best 11 look like? I'd go with this... And target a new top keeper and a top striker as the key reinforcements.
May 6, 20241 yr Would be something similar to this, the only question if talking no injuries is Fofana…… Edited May 6, 20241 yr by SimonH

I'd actually completely forgotten about Fofana! 🤣 Hell of a player. Let's see how he does next season, he'll probably need a while, maybe the whole season, to get up to speed.
May 6, 20241 yr If we beat forest Saturday we might not have many injured players all of a sudden they’re recovering

May 7, 20241 yr Jackson Palmer - Nkunku Chil - Enzo - Caicedo /Conor - James Badi - Chalobah - Fofana Petrovic Assuming no injury and everyone back to their best (Chilwell, James, Fofana). The onlu question here is Caicedo or Conor. Doesn't matter tbh. If you can get Nkunku n palmer to really press and Jackson to score, you can probably win the league with this team. I prefer Colwill over Chalo but it doesn't matter tbf. Ooops forget about Petrovic, we need an upgrade. Edited May 7, 20241 yr by Bob stark
May 7, 20241 yr So many blues say they can't wait for so and so player to return....yes...as subs....this team is winning at the mo so don't change it...be happy with the current line up
May 7, 20241 yr Jackson Nkunku, Palmer, Madueke Gallagher, Caicedo Cucu, Colwill/Badd, Trev/Fofana, James/Gusto
May 7, 20241 yr Depends entirely on the opposition. We should have 3-4 players on the bench who just as well could be starters.

I don’t think we should have a best starting eleven. Like now, Chalobah playing as right back with Cucurella playing as inverted is working a treat at the minute so leave Gusto out for now. Just a few weeks ago I would have considered Gusto undroppable. I guess it’s a great thing that the majority of squad are at a similar level with a few exceptions such as Palmer, which gives Poch the flexibility to change things around.

I'd go standard 4-2-3-1 against Top Opposition (midfield stability either we have an inverted fullback or both CMs stay disciplined centrally) Rest of the league I'd go 3-2-4-1 (Wide players hug touchline). May 8, 20241 yr Would stick with the current formation until the end of the season to see if it gets even better. Seems to work just fine. Then I hope Pochettino tries to improve it in the pre season with the introduction of the players coming back from injuries and hopefully a new top centre forward. Ideally Colwill will take the hybrid LCB/LB role and Reece James the hybrid RCB/RB role. But I'd personally like to see James in the inverted role for a few pre season matches, too. Think he could do a good job in midfield. Osimhen Nkunku Gallagher Palmer Madueke Cucurella Caicedo Colwill Disasi James We could do it also with James as the inverted full back and Colwill going to left back once the team defends. Osimhen Nkunku Gallagher Palmer Madueke Caicedo James Colwill Badiashile Disasi I think this Pep ball system is perfectly suited for our squad. It leaves some question marks on Enzo, who could slot in for Gallagher at any time and Lavia and Malo Gusto. But with James made out of glass I'd not worry if I were Gusto.

Nkunku would need to be hugging the touchline like Mudryk for this set up to be affective. He's wasted there.
