Serie A is very odd. They always have one side that does well in the European competitions, like Inter in Champions League and Fiorentina in the Conference League this season, but at the same time, it looks like it's dropped off massively when I watch the league. What a absolute joke. Spurs and United are both 2 nill up, so one of them is going to win the europa league AND play CL football next season despite where they are in the league!

A lot of soul searching going on here. The game is a religion. You can't walk anywhere without running into kids - boys and girls - kicking it around wherever they can find the space. Replica shirts are de rigueur. Seems to me it's a combination of serious mismanagement - at club and authority level (at one stage clubs received tax breaks to sign foreign players) - plus a solid dash of typical Italian corruption, with poor coaching at junior levels, and a lack of funds to top things off.
