He's a maverick, a wild card. He can play basically anywhere. Plus I was thinking of him playing as an ersatz Cucurella in possession (so not a 'classic' left back by any means).

Part of me really wanted Maresca to turn him into the RCB. He has the size and physicality for it

Aye I did mention that, but if he suffers one of his muscle injuries out in the cold, and he got injured regularly for Wolves, it won't just be Brentford he misses.

Nkunku also has a bad record with injuries too.

Felix less so. So why take Nkunku but not Felix? Is Maresca basically saying here Nkunku is at the bottom of the attackers list?

He's probably playing Felix at LF/LW on Sunday

Will miss this one unfortunately due to being a wage slave, however looking at the travelling squad doubt I’m actually missing much

Live a little! https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/get-to-know-the-11-young-blues-who-could-face-astana

I love games like this, same as the early cup rounds. Very few things purer in football than seeing the youngsters (most of whom have been at the club since they were children) getting to wear the shirt for the senior side.

Negatives: my MOTM spreadsheet becomes annoyingly large.

Nope, this is who did:

Goalkeepers: Filip Jorgensen, Lucas Bergstrom, Max Merrick

Midfielders: Carney Chukwuemeka, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Kiano Dyer, Sam Rak-Sakyi, Harvey Vale

Forwards: Pedro Neto, Ato Ampah, Tyrique George, Marc Guiu, Shumaira Mheuka

Surely Chukwuemeka gets a start here ?

Given who has travelled, I'll revise my line up slightly

Spot on:

Chelsea: Jorgensen, Acheampong, Disasi (c), Tosin, Veiga, Dewsbury-Hall, Rak-Sakyi, Pedro Neto, Chukwuemeka, George, Guiu

Subs: Bergstrom, Merrick, Murray-Campbell, Olise, Wilson, Dyer, Vale, Ampah, Mhueka

I'm really excited for the even younger kids to show what they have...not the ideal conditions to show off, I'm cold just thinking about it.

Chest infections are at a high in the UK currently. I know a few people who have been off work on anti biotics for a couple of weeks now.

Yeah, whole family had it, and I've still got the cough which doesn't go for a while afterwards.
