Jeez that's a huge risk. The former is an important player to us. I know he is suspended vs Brentford but still a big risk with this being the festive period. If thar is the confirmed squad I would guess we start: Jorgensen Acheampong Disasi Tosin Veiga KDH Carney Neto Nkunku George Guiu

Aye I did mention that, but if he suffers one of his muscle injuries out in the cold, and he got injured regularly for Wolves, it won't just be Brentford he misses. Nkunku also has a bad record with injuries too. Felix less so. So why take Nkunku but not Felix? Is Maresca basically saying here Nkunku is at the bottom of the attackers list?

Could be a hint Felix is getting the nod on Sunday in a similar set up we used at Leicester.

December 11, 20241 yr Was watching this, around the 4:10 Mark, you can see 2 different groups. No idea if that shows for definite who's staying and who's going...I can't tell who's who with a lot of them, especially as you can barely see some of their faces.
December 11, 20241 yr Surely we don’t want Nkunku or Neto anywhere near the pitch given their injury history. Play the kids.

All the ones going are wearing Pink tops. And good riddance! Pink tops! Whatever next? Pink boots? Feckin snowflakes.

They were all wearing pink, lol, right!? Oh jeez, have my eyes gone!? I was working while watching that vid but I'll watch it again. They split into 2 distinct grps. One with palmer, sancho, cucu... The other had nkunku and a lot of the kids (faces I didn't recognise...). They started to remove their head gear towards the end and I finally saw their faces. I'm going to watch it again now...my mind has played these tricks on me before while multitasking.

Nkunku not in the squad looking at the published list

Offical squad from our website: Goalkeepers: Filip Jorgensen, Lucas Bergstrom, Max Merrick Defenders: Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga, Josh Acheampong, Harrison Murray-Campbell, Richard Olise, Kaiden Wilson Midfielders: Carney Chukwuemeka, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Kiano Dyer, Sam Rak-Sakyi, Harvey Vale Forwards: Pedro Neto, Ato Ampah, Tyrique George, Marc Guiu, Shumaira Mheuka Pedro Neto probably really regrets that booking vs Spurs now... Hopefully we don't regret him playing on that frozen pitch... Edited December 12, 20241 yr by axman2526
December 12, 20241 yr A wise traveling squad. They should still win - there is more than enough there.
December 12, 20241 yr Surely Chukwuemeka gets a start here ? Given who has travelled, I'll revise my line up slightly :

Josh can be part of the three in possession and Harvey can bomb forward to do his thing.

Yes I did contemplate Veiga in midfield as the pivot pairing did look a bit potentially lightweight, but I couldn't see who would play left back if I put Veiga there. We have a few actual academy left backs and none of them have made the trip ! I think Murray-Campbell is predominantly a centre back, although he has occasionally played as full back on both sides, so he could play LB in extremis I guess. Harvey I think will get some pitch time either on LW or as AM sub for Carney. I certainly hadn't considered him as a left back option, as I thought he was an attacking midfielder !
December 12, 20241 yr He's a maverick, a wild card. He can play basically anywhere. Plus I was thinking of him playing as an ersatz Cucurella in possession (so not a 'classic' left back by any means). Edited December 12, 20241 yr by PloKoon13
