The defenders are sh*t because they don't get coached to defend. Defending to coaches like Maresca is playing the ball out of the back. It's why City also look hopeless defensively, because they play a similar style, and when put under any pressure, they struggle. This type of coaching feels like it has been found out and teams now feel confident enough to go after it. We haven't had a single game this season where we can say the defence has been good.
