I don’t think we are winning this if our midfield is only Caicedo like the setup against Fulham.

I see another draw or lost incoming.

And we are 4th. 2nd at Christmas and now 4th just 4 days later.

If Maresca does not start making changes, and using his subs properly, we will keep heading in this direction as other sides, like Newcastle, start to pick up.

We are 7 points off top, and 7 points above 8th place. Few more poor results at we could be mid table again.

Fulham heading 4 points behind us, as it stands.

It would be quite funny to see the reactions of Younes, Miz, Matisse etc if thar happened after they talked about us being in next seasons CL as a matter of fact.

Down to 4th, City only 4 points behind. So important that we bounce back with a win tomorrow.

For me Felix and Nkunku need a run of starts, 5 or 6 in a row so a proper call can be made on what they can do.

Jackson, Madueke, Sancho, Palmer and Neto have all had the luxury of regular starting berths and, for me, Palmer clearly merits it and Neto probably does too.  The other three haven't been remotely consistent enough to deserve a first 11 spot on a regular basis.  So Felix and Nkunku deserve the same opportunity to try and prove their worth.

Hey look at that, Bournemouth gaffa made late changes and turned the tide against Fulham to rescue a result.

I guess subs can be useful after all, maybe Bournemouth just have better quality of thr bench than we do?

No excuses here, we should be winning this one. We had a bad week of results, it happens, but lose this one and then I'll start to worry.

Look on the bright side, somebody will have put a tenner on us being ahead of City and behind Forest at the halfway point. 

Sancho and Neto should be dropped. Offered nothing of late in their primary job, attacking and creating. I dont care how well they defend, it should not be the most important part of their job.

Felix and Nkunku in for them, Guiu for Jackson, who also has not been doing his primary job well enough

Not dropping, not really resting. Is more a case of everything is always on Palmer to make it happen, so how about he gets a game to kick back, a serious game not conference league, and the other 4 are told "ok then, show you can do it in this league without Cole".

So the rest of the league we have threats other than Cole without Cole. Palmer himself deserves team mates who can carry the load. Is time for Felix and Nkunku to be given a run to show they can step up and, if they cannot, leave.

As Sancho and Neto have failed of late it is time.

French intentional in hid best position, Portuguese international in one of his, both more experienced that those they replace. Guiu gives Jacko a needed kick in the bum, Noni gets a chance to respond and has been, arguably, our best wide player this season.

And your answer is to replace these with players who have had minimal game time in the PL thus far. For two of the players there a rumours of disciplinary issues and a third wears his desire to get away from the club like a crown.

Every PL game will need the best that we can put out for at least 70 minutes of every game. Maresca has got this right in most games. The problem has been that we haven't been clinical enough to get the next killer goal. Most of us know the reasons why this is, and putting Guiu out there might work. I'm not convinced that he is yet physical enough to handle starting in the PL, but maybe.

But completely dismantling the make up of the side due to a frustrating pattern that is emerging is alarmist for me and would probably hasten the slide if those replacements failed to change the outcome and at the same time we've unsettled the mainstays.

Oh I am not saying he will do that, no chance he will. Noni might start. The other 3 probably not, maybe Nkunku up top, no way Guiu or Felix do imp.

Yes, it is my solution  It is one game, and one game where Felix, Nkunku and Noni all get their preferred position.

Felix and Nkunku need to be given the rope to either climb or hang themselves with. If they get a run, don't work hard, don't score, dont assist, with them facing the likes of Ipswich, Palace, Wolves etc then you won't get anyone saying he is mishandling them and should be using them more. They will have proved him right they are not good enough or simply do not care.

Or it works out and out attack can deliver more than Palmer and occasional Jackson goal, and Palmer can then actually return to play his best position, on the right, and Gusto can look good again as an overlapping RB not a poor man's Cucu inverting.

Far as Guiu goes 100% he is physically ready to start in the PL. He may not last the 90 but he can start and play most of the game 3 times a week. Will he score lots of goals? I don't know, but I don't think his finishing is a downgrade on Jackson.
