Had the misfortune to have already booked a holiday in Italy with a group of mates in the Heysel year, did consider whether to cancel but went ahead.

Probably one of the worst weeks of my life as far as holidays go lol, Groups of some very angry Italians looking for revenge, if they identified or thought you were English you were targeted.

Staff in the apartments were as good as gold but literally had to be constantly aware watch each others backs for much of the time if ventured outside in many areas.
