Let's see if that future is days not years.

I think Enzo F will move to Spain in the next year or so. Madrid have been linked with a move. We have shown some interest in Wharton but also Morgan Rogers. Both are decent options in my opinion.

Picking up a lot of traction. This would be a great signing, much more complete footballer than Enzo to play in the pivot.

I’m reading Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea. Not sure we have the pockets or willingness to do this, but would like this - or Bouaddi.

Maybe Enzo is already lined up to Madrid, delayed until July for the new financial year, which is likely when our signings need to occur plus after Alonso’s start. One can hope anyway.

If the reports are true that they have to sell first, then surely this lends itself to a trade off, of two sales and two amortised purchases. Maybe Camavinga or Guler in order to make the Fernandez deal happen. From the outside this seems a bit more likely.

Unfortunately the ‘sources’ for this one look weak.

This seems a very credible option moving on from Enzo. If there is any truth in it I’d be very happy.

I’d imagine this transfer would have to happen quickly as we could be blown out the water by other clubs if their preferred options go elsewhere later in the window.

If Enzo goes to Madrid in the next week or so there could be truth in this.

Bernardo Silva was the second slowest player in the league and he was arguably the best midfielder in the league.

Whats this infatuation with fast players, midfielders dont all have to be flying machines, or Spartans, he can be the slowest in the league but also the most effective. There's no point looking at one stat of a player and coming to a conclusion, Fabregas was slower than glacial erosion but is one of the best midfielders the premier league has ever seen.

We can't let this lad go to Liverpool or Spurs. He will massively improve us and he is just what we need.

If he was to go to Spurs of all places rather than us, that would really hit home as to how far we have fallen as a club.

I like Whartons footballing ability but I always think he's a little weak. Although not that much as to prefer Henderson.

More-like Wharton turns us down and the PR spins will be that we decided against signing him and trust Barco.

After the more experienced PR, ending up with Bergvall and Nwaneri would be pretty crazy even for BlueCo.

I mean its reported we have no interest. That never happened with Garnacho despite dragging out that mistake all summer.

I think we end up with Wharton, I think the only way we don't get him is if Enzo somehow stays.
