Had 2 injuries meaning he had all of 8 appearance for them.

Of all the positions midfield is our least needed to strengthen.

I agree. This suggests that both Essugo and Lavia are unlikely to feature much the rest of the season. Something that would surprise pretty well none of us on here.

Or alternatively they're going to sell Andrey Santos LOL

Chelsea sign talented 17 year old fullback Yisa Alao from Sheffield Wednesday – Initial fee over £500k plus heavy add-ons.

Statement signing. Everyone was just thinking about how we needed another fullback.

None of this is scattergun though, no no no no

I didn't realize that the term data driven strategy actually translates to "throw enough sh*t at a wall and some of it has to stick, right?"

Lavia still no return date and Essugo out for a month from slipping in training.

Must of been one hell of a slip then.

Conveniently slips just before getting back to full fitness from his previous injury. This is just the next level Ali Dia con. Instead of being found out to be a fraud as soon as he played, Essugo and his agent have concocted a plan to be forever injured so the ruse can go on as long as possible and they can keep getting paid.

From £8K a week at Sporting to £40K a week with us. A nice 500% pay rise LOL

It's no wonder all these players take the hook ... I imagine it has very little to do with "projects" ! 🤑

Not sure about Jacquet. Seems very highly rated, but barely any games undee his belt. What i will say though id if you brief that he is the elite centre back target, then just pay the money and get it done. The fee they want is similar to Yoro, so they habe every right to proce him like that.

Probably end up with that 16 year old left back and not much else though. Douglas Luiz decent squad option but at 27 he would be the oldest player we have signed in 3 years i think.

No faith in the clowns to fix any issues.

Anyone?

Chelsea make £34m offer for Christ Inao Oulai

Despite being just 19 years of age, the midfielder has made 10 appearances this season for the Super Lig side, scoring twice and assisting three times.

He joined from Ligue 2 side Bastia, and now has forced himself to be a regular part of Ivory Coast’s plans.

After starting on the bench for the first two games, he played nearly every subsequent minute in the competition, including in their quarter-final defeat to Egypt.

The signing would likely not be what Chelsea fans are looking for though, especially for the price being discussed. They would much rather see that money spent on a big name addition who can instantly make an impact on the first team squad.

Or?

Chelsea have now asked about signing £43m Bayern Munich player, ‘it’s true’

Links between the club and the player have existed before, and now journalist Christian Falk has stated that Chelsea have asked about the conditions of signing him again.

He said to BILD: “It’s true. And that also explains why they can already make some moves in central defence. If Min-jae Kim says he wants to leave, they won’t put any obstacles in his way. If he says he wants to stay, then you don’t have that problem. But if he does leave, of course you also bring in money.

Kim Min-Jae could be perfect for Liam Rosenior

Despite making 20 appearances for Bayern so far this season, the South Korean has only started in 11 of those games.

He has a goal and assist to his name, and his ability on the ball could be a real benefit for the way Rosenior is wanting to play.

He has completed 94.5% of his passes this season, a stat which falls in line with Chelsea’smost recent performance.

Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs that would love to sign Ibrahim Mbaye before Deadline Day, but PSG want to keep him.

Club needs to cut it out. We are already struggling to give Estevao the necessary min.

Would be an awful signing. Stay well clear.

Forest should sign him up. Would make for an interesting striker pairing with Igor Jesus.

My fear is we will spend over the odds on Jacquet who proves to be another flop, while selling off Acheampong to balance the books.

Douglas Luiz back to Villa on loan with no obligation.

Not arsed about that given we now have a manager who plays Santos correctly. Still feel we may need an extra body in the squad as I want James to stay at RB.

Teenager to leave Chelsea this week

The 19-year-old has yet to make an appearance under Rosenior, having last featured for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup win over Cardiff City in December.

There are at least four wingers ahead of him in the pecking order at Chelsea: Pedro Neto, Estevao, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho.

George is capable of playing as a number nine, but Chelsea also have plenty of options in this position: Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Marc Guiu.

The Athletic claims that George is expected to make a decision on his next club this week, with clubs from England, Spain, Portugal, and Germany having shown interest in the versatile winger.
