From what I can understand is that Mexico are not very good. They are a team of pretty poor quality. England has much better players. But they use the fact that they play at altitude to good effect. The Mexcians are at home, they are at home at altitude and they got some really good mental football loving fans behind them. They go all out in the first twenty minutes - when the opposition will really be feeling it. When the effects of altitude are really prominent is in the first twenty minutes or so. Some of the English lads will be feeling really breathless. The Mexican team will try to go all out and blitzkreig from the beginning - that is their strategy. Do not let them score first. Do not let them get an early goal. Don’t let them get the early momentum.

So last the first 20-30 minutes and all should be fine. We have much greater depth and we have better players.

How do we absorb the initial onslaught? Do we play like Paraguay for the first half hour and just disrupt and disturb? Unlikely, as to be fair, English players are not that skilled in the dark arts and they would just get sent off early. But we need to take the sting out of the game early.

Looking forward to this one. I wish i had gone down there - i was offered a ticket but i thought 4k was a little too much.

I thought it was a piece of humour with the talk of Americans trying to get the ban on Balogun lifted. Unbelievable, i think the organisers should also give USA a one goal start against the Belgians. Or maybe if there is too much risk in that throw the Belgians out and give USA a bye to the next round, hang on lets not mess about a bye straight to the final.

Im all for awarding them a Cup for being the host nation. Soccer at its finest. They wont be embarrassed but they should be.
