Hope he goes, one of the strangest, most needless signings I can remember and hopefully we get something for him.

My view is that he MAY fit in well to feed Torres if we played him on a wing or just past midfield...I think he may have learned a bit at Arsenal...Then again...I could be wrong

I remember he gave Mata the number 10 shirt last season, it seemed like a nice gesture considering the uncertainty over his future at the time. He is a decent player but will never be more than a squad player for us, and I'd rather see some of the youngster like De Bruyne and McEachran get blooded in next season.

I'm in two minds. Based on the squad we have now I would say keep him. He might not be world class, but he's far from bad. Besides, I think there were times this season when we might have needed him. He wouldn't have been a starter perhaps, but a good backup.
However, if we were to buy other midfielders who will be competing against him then I could see him being sold.

Could have used him last season, AVB's first mistake. No need for him now, better, younger players to come, and he can get f* after taking Arsenal to third spot.

Benayoun is in the same bracket as Kalou and Boswinga. Average at best and not good enough for where we want to be. These mediocre squad players need to be sold and replaced, or, better still, chances given to the most promising youth/reserve players.
