Overreacting a bit about Chilly and James, I think. We'll buy 14 more wingbacks this summer, not to mention Baba Rahman is still on the books. All good!

Eden17 reacted to Scott Harris in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCBut they are allowed to do the same? The fan elitism of late is getting really boring. You're not better fans because of certain circumstances. Those same fans you're talking about can't even fill up the stadium these days. Stamford Bridge is dead with fans leaving in their tens of thousands 30 minutes before the match ends. So those match going fans are in no position to just be "tolerating" others when they can't even be bothered to cheer the team on from the stadium and bail out when things aren't going well.

Eden17 got a reaction from Sexyfootball in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCI don't understand what the gist of this argument is. You should never forget your roots, but expectations do change.
Once you have become a big club, there's pretty much no going back.
If you don't want to look at ManU, look at Milan instead. What were they before Sacchi? A club of the good old glory days of the 60s, relegated and only holding on due to nostalgia and the Milan Derby.
Five years later, 4 Scudettos and 3 European Cups. Once you do that, there's no alternative than to keep winning. It's big club mentality that settles in, it's football heritage that develops as someone likes to say. Milan went through a rough patch in the 2010's just like ManU. Did you ever see either of them giving up on their ambitions?
Milan is in the semis for the first time in a long while, and the attitude is "we'll fight for this, been there done that". This is big club mentality, dusty trophy cabinets and rough times don't make a heavy jersey lighter.
Chelsea in the last 20 years has won the league 4 times and experienced European glory twice. You're just not content with good FA cup runs after that, if you are then you failed to transition to a big club. But I don't think this is the case.
We are Chelsea, we are lions. We have fought, and we have won.
And we'll do it again no matter how dire current circumstances seem.

Eden17 reacted to Sconnie Blue in Jude BellinghamThere was speculation, nothing confirmed.
If he stays I think we will see more of Camavinga at LB where he drifts centrally to overload the midfield.

Seems to be the trend this time, court everyone, but not able to make up the mind or even have a finalized short list. Wouldn't be a surprise if Pochettino walks away soon.
Jose's third coming could be fun, he wouldn't put up with the kind of rubbish this season, and will call people out as he sees it. Sign a 5 year deal, walk away around 2 years 3 months, no real damage to him.

In a more realistic fairytale world I'd take Carlo. Good vibes
Seems like I'm getting Pochettino and going on a 3 year dry spell 😓

5 stages of Grief. . .
We are at Acceptance.
Time for a group hug as we remember the better days.
Denial. . .Potter just needs more time.
Anger. . . I blame the groundskeeper.
Bargaining. . . maybe we should have kept Tuchel?
Depression. . . FFS Frank.
Acceptance. . . next season, yes, next season. . .with Pochettino. Pochettino is going to be great.
(repeat the process)

Eden17 reacted to Skinnedy in Possible Major shake up for English footballThe American model is a franchise model of the Billionaire boys club... buy your way into the league and you have a no-risk asset that generates millions of guaranteed revenue without any risk. They put salary caps in place and incentivize losing if you're not in the "playoff" race. It's pretty despicable if you look at it with an open mind.
The only ones who suffer with an unambitious owner are the fans. The owner still makes his millions while fielding an inferior product and leaching off of the league.
I LOVE how cutthroat international football is. I love promotion, relegation. I love that teams fight for their lives at the end of the season, instead of tanking for a higher draft pick. I love that ambition is rewarded and not punished.

Eden17 got a reaction from CFCCAN in Chelsea v Crystal Palace (PL) Sat 3rd Oct 2020 12:30 GMTLiverpool's next match is the Merseyside derby in Goodison Park.
A draw there, plus favourable results from Leicester-Villa and City-Arsenal could put us a mere 3 points from the top, assuming we beat Soton.
Those first 8 or so matches can have a huge influence on the entire season

Eden17 reacted to Frawdulant in Welcome to Chelsea Ben ChilwellSome seriously pathetic comments in here and some fans need to hang their heads. Acting like spoilt kids.
Frank Lampard, who knows a sh*tload more about football than any of us, has wanted Chilwell and managed to get him for nearly half the price Leicester wanted to sell him. We should be over the moon, not to mention that he’s probably the best up and coming left-back in the premier league. Let’s not forget many of us, myself included, whinged when we signed Frank Lampard himself. Whinged about his price and whinged his ability and he didn’t turn out too bad now did he?
I can’t wait to see him in a Chelsea shirt.

It's this type of thinking that has stopped teams going after City. In the Champions League, they aren't anywhere near as good, maybe because teams don't fear them so much. The Premier League needs to get it's act together, they are a good team, but they aren't that great, get in their faces a bit more, make it hard for them. It's like watching La Liga in City's Premier League games, barely any teams actually make it difficult for them.
This City team aren't as good as any Premier League winning team from 2000-2010, this City team wouldn't win a single league title in that period. The league was tougher and the top teams were better. I'm bored of watching City's games now because you can see the defeatist attitude from the opposition as soon as the game begins.
English football has a reputation for being competitive, but if you only watched City's games, people would be struggling to understand why it's got that reputation. The only team outside of the top 6 that has tried to stop City is Wolves, and they got a point against them.

He wants to play basketball? Start a basketball team!
He wants to play in spain? Chelsea should invade and conquer Spain!
Chelsea have to do whatever they can to keep this magician happy! Oh my goodness what a player!! He took the match over once he came on, no matter how many times Moses tried to pass the ball to Liverpool in front of our own box.

PAOK league titles: 2
Aek league titles: 12
PAOK 2nd place finishes: 6
Aek 2nd place finished: 16
PAOK's last league title: 1985
Aek's last league title: 2018
Even without the gun incident PAOK and Aek would have been level on points (assuming PAOK would have won the match) so they certainly aren't so much better as you claim.
