  1. The rest is mostly waffle. You called...
  2. Can't say I'm not surprised Manure won, there attacking flair was there for all to see!?! Apart from Messi, Barca were rubbish, Eto'o in particular was bloody awful.
  3. Sven Goran Eriksson at the Bridge?!? I think he'd be... Excellent. Haha only joking ( just wanted to post that image). To be honest I don't know how he'd do, he'd certainly enjoy spending Roman's millions. I'd rather us get a younger manager.
  4. My dad just told me that the alleged racist comment (it's in one of the daily newspapers) was to call Evra "an immigrant", I reckon Evra probably miss heard and the groundsman was just calling him a "f*cking c*nt" or words to that effect.
  5. The thing is though it's quite easy to practise set-piece delivery, especially corners. How do you think Beckham became so good at deadball delivery, by practising all the time that's how. If the players aren't putting the effort in during/after training then it won't improve. How many times do our corners fail to beat the first man, it's beyond annoying. Hopefully we'll sign Alves in the summer and he'll sort us out as he's supposedly pretty hot on set-pieces. Well it's a big assumption that we don't practice deadball situations. I didn't make that assumption, I proposed that for any player/team to get better at set-piece delivery they have to practise. The assumption was that we don't appear to practise enough as it's pretty clear that we aren't very good at it, as today's game showed. Corners are so much an intrinsic part of football that it's criminal that we are quite so poor at getting the ball into the danger area. I think we can all agree though, that Chelsea as a team look a lot less threatening at attacking set-pieces than a fair few other teams and by the same token sometimes look a lot more susceptible when defending set-pieces, and it's something that needs rectifying.
  6. It's on the BBC that the fee is £15.8m. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...pur/7368463.stm
  7. Very true. Maybe he should come back and give the lads some lessons.

  9. Surely this belongs in the jokes section.
  10. A no brainer if ever there was one. Cech without doubt. The man was quality. Simple as that. Goodnight.
  11. How many chances is Malouda going to get!?! I'm not a religous man, but please Malouda have a good game.
  12. Their player Weiss looks quite a prospect, he's good on the ball can pick a pass and scored a really well taken free kick. Stoch and Kakuta, both look promising, although a little greedy.
  13. Yeah he should've scored. On the drifting out wide, I know what you mean, it's all well and good him doing that as long as players are running into the space he's left behind, sadly that hardly ever seems to happen. I reckon we should go 4-4-2 second half and bring on Sheva and Cole for Malouda and Mikel. Saying that, I doubt he'll make any changes.
  14. Half-time in what can only be described as a coma inducing match. The media keep on having digs at us about our style of play and the atmosphere (or lack of it) at The Bridge but we certainly don't do ourselves any favors in our attempts to disprove them with this sort of display. Come on Chelsea, wake the f*ck up!!
  15. I know what you mean, all he seems to do is run us down.
  16. Where did you hear that?
  17. Villa and Anelka would be a cracking strike force. I reckon £20million is a fair price for a player of his quality, of course I'd prefer to get him cheaper but I'm pretty sure he's got a massive buy out clause written in his contract, so £20million wouldn't be too bad a deal.
  18. Ballack just edged it from Essien for me. Regarding Essien's yellow, maybe it was premeditated, so as not to pick one up in the first leg of the semi and consequently miss the second leg.
  19. Yeah they've been on before and I'm pretty sure that someone said they're fakes based on some Korean teams shirt or something along those lines.
  20. I've gone for the classic Mark Lawrenson prediction of 2-0. Come on you blues.
  21. Sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t. I'm fed up of watching Chelsea and ending the game furious at either crap player performances or inept management. There are so many things that annoyed me about tonights game from rubbish set pieces to sh*te tactics/subs it just winds me up even more thinking about them. They were there for the taking tonight and we've f*cked it up.
