Marseille v Chelsea (CL) 8/12/2010 KO 19:45 GMT
I think some of you may be forgetting that for quite a long time, Paulo was actually Portugal's preferred left back choice, with Boss on the right.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
Unlikely to be in anyone's taste, but having seen Biffy Clyro recently, I found their setlist from the night online and just kept that on repeat for the last week or so, it's sensational. Corrie 50 Years!
Half way through it atm, the highlight so far is definitelt Tyrone crying "Jack's not mine! The baby's not mine!" Absolutely hilarious!

football positions
Before I got too lazy, I always fancied myself as a left back, not a Ashley Cole left back, a proper defensive left back simply because I was always too lazy to bomb forward, and I would normally have to cover for the centre back next to me who always fancied himself an "attacking centre back", whatever that was. I even played 20 minutes for my school at left back and made a clearance off the line, my claim to fame. When I got lazy, goalkeeper was the way to go, and it turned out I actually wasn't that bad at it. I was pretty crap, but I was always first choice in our local kickabout.

Last Movie You Watched
Watched Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2 last night. The first one is really good, the second not so much as it's just ridiculous from the first 20 minutes onwards. I'll happily watch Kill Bill 1 again though, very well made film.

Chelsea v Everton (PL) - 4/12/2010 - KO 15:00 GMT
I genuinely don't like coming on here when we don't win games we should. Some people on here are unbearable to read, it's insane.

Last Movie You Watched
Watched two Christmassy films last night with the flatmates - Elf and Home Alone. Elf is good, but I am starting to get tired of Will Ferrel's retarded character in films. Home Alone is great though, it'll never get old :D

Joshua McEachran
Loved the second video of Josh v Zilina (despite the horrific final seconds...you should see why), every pass Josh made was the right one to make, and even when there was a simple ball sideways, or a difficult ball through the middle, 9/10 the difficult ball would get to the team mate, absolutely awesome.

Chelsea agree Maribor deal
Kids and Chelsea love it so, the happy word of Maribor...

Cult TV series.
Absolutely agree. I'd heard loads of great things about it but never got round to watching it, so I watched series 4 when it came out in the UK cause people said it was easy to get into, and it was absolutely brilliant, I loved every second of it. Have downloaded series 1, 2 and 3 and am halfway through 1 at the moment, and it's superb. By the way, only recently seen the cliffhanger to series 4, and it's easily one of the best cliffhanger's I've seen in a LONG time!!

Planning my first trip to Stamford Bridge
I've been in the Upper West Stand the last two games and I have to say the view is impressive from up there, you can see the entire pitch, nothing in your way, so in that sense it's great. However, the atmosphere in the West is pretty dismal. Not even a "Stand up if you hate Tottenham" got people standing (only me and my Dad as far as I could tell!), which is terribly frustrating. But if you just want a good seat for the match, then the West Upper is a pretty good place to go.

Last Movie You Watched
Watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1). Being a hugehugehugehugehuge fan of the book, I have to say it lived up, and possibly exceeded my expectations of how I hoped it would turn out. A lot of the first half is fairly boring, more about how the relationship between the main trio weakens/strengthens while they search for the horcruxes, but it was a very, very good film. Stayed very faithful to the book, with the exception of the dancing scene *cringe*. Cracking film, now only 8 months to wait till the 2nd part....yeah, I can wait that long. ¬_¬ Regarding Inception, I think it's a truly incredible film and everyone who's seen it should read this, it's the best explanation (or theory, if you will) about Inception I've read, and I've read many, many theories, trust me! (Epic spoiler alert though, don't read unless you've seen it!)

Chelsea v MSK Zilina (CL) 23/11/10, 19:45 KO GMT
I find it so strange how different papers/websites see matches so differently. One paper gave Ramires a 5, another, 7. One gave PVA a 6, another, 8. You really do think that half just don't watch the matches and guess the ratings based on their form in the last few matches. Bizarre. Good win, I thought. Considering the team (avg. age 24!), after a shaky start we played pretty well. PVA and Sturridge were excellent I thought, both constantly available around the opponents area, with PVA he was very solid defensively, did have a patchy stream, but I think in the second half he managed to stop every cross that came his way. Sturridge is absolutely flying, we could use him in the last 30 of matches against a tired left/right back. Just imagine Anelka and Sturridge on respective wings, the pace would absolutely terrify the full backs. Josh was great too, I thought. Had to warm to the game slightly in the first half (missed the first 30, but that's what I've gathered) but once he did he was quality. Yes he misplaced a few passes, but which player doesn't misplace them? It's natural you're bound to give away one or two, no one can have an impeccable game. Carlo's comments about him made me smile too, he said that Josh is now ready to play often, he has the ability to do so, which I'm incredibly excited for! Kalou once again baffles me completely. In recent weeks when he's started, he struggles to have any effect on the game. Bring him on as a sub, he changes the game for us. Weird man. Useful to have come off the bench, but a weird man nevertheless. Job done, top of the group, let's not mess up out 100% record against Marseille now, I want all 18 points!

MOTM vs Zilina
PVA for me too, thought he was brilliant today, learnt a lot from Ash aswell!! Malouda and Sturridge joint 2nd, Josh 3rd.

Chelsea v MSK Zilina (CL) 23/11/10, 19:45 KO GMT
-------------------------Turnbull --Boss------Bruma----------------Ivan------Ashley -----------------------McEachran --------Ramires -----------------------------------Malouda --Anelka------------------------------------Sturridge ----------------------Drogba Subs: Hilario, Ferreira, Van Aanholt, Mikel, Kalou, Kakuta, Borini. Bench I'm not too sure about, it's lacking in cover for the midfield, but that general idea is what I'm hoping for, Kakuta, Borini and PVA to get some sort of appearance too.

Birmingham v Chelsea (PL) 20/11/2010 KO 15:00 GMT
Such a bizarre league where we lose 3 games in 4 and we remain top.

Birmingham v Chelsea (PL) 20/11/2010 KO 15:00 GMT
I assume because Boss played 90 minutes for Portugal on Wednesday. Coming back from a long injury, it makes sense to rest him.

I'd go with that. If we replace Bruma with JT (when he's fit), that could be a team that lasts a while

The next bands you are going to see?
Just got back, and I have to say, it was absolutely incredible. I've seen quite a few gigs now and I have to say that's topped the whole lot of them, even Green Day who were sensational. TGA know exactly how to make a gig amazing, they have a sort of swagger about them now because they know they're good (but in a good way). God, I love them. Biffy Clyro next!!
-
The next bands you are going to see?
Off to see The Gaslight Anthem right this instant. Hope they're better than Maks' experience!
-
we're fcuked...terry could be out for months
To whoever said there won't be many good centre backs available, remember who we signed a few years back in the January transfer window - Branislav Ivanovic. You can find great talent from the far reaches of Europe, you just have to look hard enough. But this is really, really terrible news. Surely Carlo will see Ferreira IS NOT a centre back, and give Bruma the chance of his life. He'll never be a fully fledged Premiership centre back if he doesn't get experience now, Bruma/Ivan centre back pairing for a few weeks I think. Come on Alex, come back bulletproof!
