  1. I think inside, many of us really would like to see Torres turn it around. Not all of us I'm sure, but many of us. Imagine a Torres at his most lethal, Ba, and Lukaku. I would take that in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, after more than two years, Nando is just a shell of what he once was. He had a great 30 minutes and I'll take it. Matter of fact, I'd enjoy seeing much more of it. However, if it's really more "1 goal in 16 matches" lapses after this good 30 minutes, then I'll pass and maybe it's time for him to go in the summer. I know this will sound harsh, but maybe he does need a jolt more often. He's got an outstanding club, that wins trophies, to succeed at. Why he would want to sulk, leave, mope, whine, complain, or really anything negative is beyond me. A few months and a couple of trophies still in play. Leaving or not, hopefully he can give us a good end to the season.
  2. I don't care who we get. I just want to win this thing (while maintaining 4th or better in the league obviously). Bring them on.
  3. Wow... Never thought I'd be agreeing with a Spuds fan (no offense) but your assessment of Liverpool is spot on. And those deluded pricks just go on and on about their beloved 'istory. What might be worse is their infatuation with the man that's currently "managing" (if you want to call it that) our squad. They cannot for the life of them understand why we never wanted him here and yet they just continue to spew utter nonsense further proving that they truly are brainless. With that said, my top despised team is still Spuds. It just brings out a rage and anger factor that is unparalleled versus when I see other clubs (Manu, Liverpool, West Ham, Leeds, and QPR are all on that second tier of despising). At least we seem to have found one fan that we can talk to without wanting to resort to brute force in order to get across a point. You're certainly a welcome addition Thfc.
  4. Rio is a c**t, and unfortunately I don't see anything coming of this. It should be a red, but I can't see Webb saying that he would have given the red if he had seen it. Stranger things have happened, and I hope Rio gets a good punishment from the FA. As one of my mates always told me... Hope is not a strategy.
  5. I'm in awe of the horribleness of the whole picture. And yet I'm also reminded of Spain looking at it. It couldn't be the red and/or yellow burning into my retinas, no not at all. The lightsaber just takes it over the top. Who is he going to slay, mediocrity? Not judging by that photoshop job he isn't... Way to bring up a rash of emotions in one small picture TBB.
  6. What awful defending by Arsenal. Both goals were dreadful defending and keeping players onside.
  7. That is the exact reason why I'm usually not posting or reading the match threads anymore.
  8. Sleeping. I've been battling sickness for almost a week and just couldn't stay up for the match since it was on late (here). Sorry!
  9. The forum mood isn't the greatest but during matches we usually try to keep things a little more positive and lively in chat. Until we're scored upon... Then it's mayhem and the FSW can f**k off once again.
  10. Nothing on Twitter that would change his job status as of yet.
  11. I cannot say I am truly happy because only sacking him would make me happy. I am glad he cracked though. Now I hope that Roman sees the mistake and holds people accountable. Not just the FSW...
  12. Unbelievable that this nightmare still goes on. This man can truly f**k off. Someone explain to me how a man that is appointed as a professional manager can act that way? And further yet, how did our board not see this man as being a fraud from the start? Look at what happened to Liverpool and Inter. It is beyond my comprehension how they thought that appointing Benitez was going to move our club forward. That is more concerning than anything. Now, he is having a go at the fans. Telling us not to waste time with sing songs and banners and get behind the team. Hey FSW, here is a "facht" for you... That is how we support our team. Of course, he couldn't be the better man and just take the singing and banners with a grain of salt. No, why would he? Instead he uses it as fuel for another glorious excuse of why it is not his fault but everyone else's. Obviously it is all our fault that the lads aren't doing well on the pitch. It is clearly not the lack of quality substitutions, tactics, training methods, etc. No, not at all. Again, it is all OUR fault because we are wasting our time and not supporting the team. Well, please accept my apologies FSW... Erm... Mr. Benitez and show me how to be a proper supporter. Deluded f**king twat indeed. So the good news, he is leaving at the end of the season. If he knows it, and it is truth, then the board need to get rid of him now instead of letting him linger around any longer. Why should he care to do anything between now and the end of the season (although that could be an improvement) since he knows he is going to be replaced? Keeping him around is going to make a toxic season get even worse. Toss him now and try to save something from the shambles of the last few months. Replacing just Benitez is not going to help us in the long term. Our management needs to be held accountable and changes have to be made. There are no more excuses for them as well. If some of our upper management escapes accountability then this circus will just have another act starting in the fall.
  13. Brillant Gem, just brilliant! Keep them coming.
  14. I would like for us to win this trophy, and I think we could or at the very least be in the mix. Unfortunately our greatest opponent, and it's no disrespect to the teams in this competition, is the man that is supposed to be steering us to victory... If the FSW could put his love for RM, Spain, and fatty foods aside for a bit then we could have a decent run in this competition and who knows. As it stands now, I don't have a ton of faith. Still, COYB! Let's finish the job tonight.
  15. Always a good reminder. Both are great to read.
  16. I have one of these with the CL logo and Ballack on the back of it. I'm half-afraid to wear it because I like it so much. I also just got my Lamps one for this year. I really like this year's home kit. As far as the rumoured kits go, I don't like the home kit if the picture Scooby put up is accurate but I don't mind the away one so much.
  17. That looks amazing. If they can pull it off, that could be a great evolving game for years to come.
  18. I agree with this. I think they are as good as they say and they are hungry. I wouldn't be surprised if they won it. They will be in the mix at the end, I'd be shocked if they weren't.
