Quite simple - vote for your player of the year.

To keep the number of options down I have limited it to players who have made more than 15 appearances - after all this isn't some sort of farcial Ryan Giggs award!

I fully expect Lampard to win this however I have actually voted for Ashley Cole. I think he has been as consistent as Lampard and given that, for an excessive period of the season under Scolari, we defended like three blind mice with hamstring problems, I think it is admirable that he raised his performance to the level he did.

I am with you on that, Loz. For the most incredible string of consistent performances that I have seen in this team my pick is A.Cole.

Lamps has had an amazing season as well.

Voted for Alex, it was between him, Lamps and Ash for me but he was the only one who wasnt expected to be a regular and has NEVER let us down

Lampard for me. No matter what form everyone else has been in, he has never EVER let us down this season.

I see Ash is benefiting from a great performance in the Cup Final, but the vote has to go to Frank. The man is phenomenal and has clearly been our best player over the season. If he doesn't win it will be a travesty.

bit harsh that, cole has been superb all season. ive gone from lamps but ashley cole was close and gets an honourable mention.

Tough choice for me, it's down to Lampard, Terry, Malouda and Anelka....Lampard and Terry to be more specific. Hmm...

Agreed, he's been absolutely brilliant all season, but I think Lampard's offered that little bit more, and has been a true leader when he's needed to be.

Ash for me,

I can't believe the little ex gooner has won me over but he has had a fantastic season..

he has shown he can attack and defend in Hiddinks system as well as he did in Scolaris where emphasis was more on the wingbacks getting forward.

Frank obviously has had a great season as well but thats just par for the course with him and for another player to have been as influential has shocked me into voting for that player.

Nic Anelka got my vote. It could have gone to Ashley or Frankie but Anelka won the golden boot, had a magic touch in front of goal, worked hard, and didn't complain when Drogba started to get all the credit for the CFC revival. Is that enough for player of the year? No complaints if it went to one of the others but here's to Messieur Anelka.

as good as lamps as been wading in with 20 goals this season, and all the assists he made

i just think Ash as run his socks off this season, even under scolari he stood out more than the others he as rarley done anything wrong

for the biggest part of the season he run the left wing and left back position for us, until malouda got his act together, and then his runs creating space for malouda were great

Lampard got my vote, although Ashley Cole has shone like a star, still hasnt been as amazing as Lamps IMO. I never thought Ashley Cole would ever ever win over me and my fellow Chelsea Fans, but he has this season, especially performances such as the final Yesterday.

Seriously, take 20 goals, 10+ assists, most chances created by any player in the PL, his experience, tactical discipline, leadership and drive out of the team. If Ash hadn't played I'm sure we would have been a worse team but there's no comparison with Frank.

Lampard for me - consistency alone and important goals and assists

essien for me he showed what we had been missing between oktober and march, with him coming back and guus it really showed what a team we could have been..

keep him fit and lampard plus a strike force with 40 goals between them and that's champions for me all the way...

too right. 20 goals and 20 assists from one player should win it for him instantly, let alone the long periods where he carried a woefully underperforming side.

no player has been more influential in the league in my view (over six seasons in fact).

I always think the chelsea players player of the year is always given to the player everyone KNOWS won't get the bigger awards but deserves recognition. in that respect cole deserves it, but IMO there is only one option for the true player of the season.

I think he is ! and I agree with your mentions.. but lamps by a country mile.. apart from the goals yet again, what a range of passes.
