That would be a lot of money for Bristol...not sure if they could afford it without selling half of their squad.

With all these crazy figures floating around in the transfer market these days, I say why not? If Ribery and Ibra are worth 70m then maybe Scott is worth 15.

Wasn't he one of the players we "stole" from Leeds for which we were dragged before a tribunal?

No - we got him from Bristol Rovers in a 'legit' deal.

It was Woods and Taiwo we 'nicked' from Leeds.

I think it's a shame of true, he's one of those youngsters you really want to make it at Chelsea, well I do anyway

I really rate Sinclair. I think if he is given half a chance he could prove to be a good player for Chelsea.

hi bristol city fan here. yes it is 1.5 million not 15. just wondering what your oppinions of him are and if you think that he would sign for us?

no i don't think that would happen, maybe a year on loan, but i don't think they would sell him, he would be a good player to ahve on loan for you guys though, and it would give him more experience

Sadly, I think we will see him leave this summer, but to be honest I think it will be a lower level premier league team or one of the contenders/recently relegated of the championship.

Good lad, but it just looks like he's been deemed "Not Chelsea Material" by the coaches. Our only hope is that he's given one more loan to make or break his chances of first team play

All the changes in the management team probably haven't helped his case. He has looked promising, but hasn't really been given a chance in the first team. The usual story for our youngsters.

OR hes had his chances to impress in the ressies and on loan etc. and never really done it over a decent length of time and the coaches have decided hes just not good enough to play in our first team. which is my opinion too, hes never really kicked on and hasnt got anywhere near ready for the first team. not every young superstar makes it, the lower leagues are full of players built up as the next big thing who just didnt kick on and had to drop down levels to play. hes not the first and he wont be the last.

another Bristol City fan here. The Sun story may have started on our forum where one poster seems convinced this is for real. SS is from Bath after all, started off at the Gas (Rovers) and may feel the need for a starting place by now. As for affording him, our chairman is worth about the same as the Wigan and Reading guys, should he choose to spend it. He has sold shares worth £Ms in his main business recently to finance our new stadium.

So do any of you actually have any inside info on this deal?

I would rather loan him than sell him.

He reminds me of when Ashley Young was at Watford.

We need to loan him to the likes of Birmingham/Wolves who will play him alot and he can get some premier league experience.

Few years, I think he can be class

at the moment it looks more like we are going to sign Lee Martin from Man Utd for £1.5M - I doubt we'd buy both him and Sinclair, being too similar. Probably two alternative "spinning plates" as Gary Johnson tends to call them.
