Let's hope his first English goal gives him the confidence to go on to greater things with us in January.

He's shown some lovely touches today. He also had two assists in an earlier game so the lad was in danger of becoming a Heskey by creating for others but not scoring himself. Hopefully his goal will be the start of many more to come (with us of course).

Good to hear. I saw he scored a gift of a header, but he's been good whenever I've seen him this year.

That's when the current loan deal ends so hopefully the answer is yes unless for some reason we decide to loan him for the remainder of the season too

by the looks of things Blackburn are using him in a didier type way, which given the big man's departure in january, could make him a real candidate to step in for a few games...

He is certainly not doing his chances any harm and the longer Sturridge sits on the bench never getting a game the less he is going to be prepared to start playing regularly.

i thought he was superb for blackburn today and was possibly their MOM. his touch offs were of the highest quality and reminded me very much of the way drogba the way he backs into defenders and lays the ball off. if he continues to improve whilst on loan then he may well be very important for us in the 2nd half of the season. well done the general.

He is certainly exciting to watch and without doubt a good replacement for the ageing Drogba. With him, Sturridge and Bonini, the future looks good if we can hang on to them all!

Di Santo has alot of potential. I'd like to see him play with drogba up front one day.

I have high hopes for the lad, but I've spoken to a Blackburn mate who isn't that impressed with Di Santo; has Carlo seen something my mate has too?

I don't know if it's just speculation. I just posted it to get some thoughts. I don't know if we will recall him in January or not.

I assume he may be able to score more at Chelsea than Blackburn...because he would get better service. Then again, that may just be me being optimistic. He has missed some routine goals at Blackburn this season.
