I'm going to base my decision on the few minutes I saw. It might not be fair, but there it is.

My vote will go to Joey Cole. His cross to Drogbas goal was great and it's really good to see him back on the pitch. He will be very important for us this season.

Great team performance, but after we went 2-0 up Bolton started getting back into the game, then Essien came on at half-time, and absolutely dominated the midfield, a superb performance.

That is a very valid point. We just looked like we had taken our foot off the pedal a little and Essien gave us the boot up the backside we needed. Furthermore he was heavily involved in the third goal which totally killed the game.

I have also voted for Joe Cole.

While I'm here, can I ask, who is the pompous pipe-smoking person you have now adopted as your avatar, Loz. There is a definite downward trend here - we had the delightful picture of mini-Loz dressed as a Knight, then we had Ian Curtis, then we had the Ashes, and now we've got this relic from the thirties. I daily expect to sign on and see that you've adopted a sweet little kitten!

Moi, I'm shocked you don't recognise the late great Graham Chapman, hero of Monty Python's Flying Circus for many a year!

seems like i'm a bit slow tonight. well, at least i was right :)

Good God, so it is! I wasn't thinking in that direction at all, at all. What an off day I'm having, to be sure. Any minute now I'll be exclaiming begosh and begorrah, knock me down wiv a fevver!

There you go, you've just done it....................

Moi is not known for having a fine taste in humour. Nor, it would appear, for having a grasp of 1930s fashion.

Moi has excellent taste in humour, which may or may not coincide with yours. But she is not gifted with physiognomic recognition skills! And she doesn't remember the thirties. (I bet they didn't wear polo-necks in the thirties!)

How apt that you chose Chapman, Lozzer. October see's 40 years of Python. I completely blame them for my sense of humour

I didn't see the game so I won't vote, but from what I heard, Joey Cole was tearing them apart.

Also, how did Turnbull look?

He looked very relaxed. Looked like he's been playing all season. Only positives to say about his performance. I'm sure Alex's and Ivan's rocklike presence helped as well. Great to see Alex back as well.

Joey was great with massive amount of energy but I'm a little bit concerned about his numerous backheel passes. I think he missed most of them. Great to see him back anyway. He truly gives a new dimention to our game.

My vote goes to Malouda. Very good runs throughout the game. I didn't even realize how fast he can run with the ball and still have control. Looked great.

Voted Joey, although Ess, Deco and Malouda had a good game.

Joey has been a breath of fresh air these last two games.

A little gutted for Hilario, cause I really like this guy and it would be nice for him to get some games.

Turnbull looked good though.

voted for joey, he was superb again tonight. has he really been out injured for nearly 9 months? unbelieveable. deco and ballack get honourable mentions, as does essien for picking up the rhythm when he came on.

Alex for me, thought he was excellent all game, no mistakes, and was unbeatable. His partnership with Ivan was superb, and I'm hoping for an Alex/JT partnership to be made and cemented by Christmas.

Was at the game and was very impressed with us, and surprised by the total lack of fight or anything from Bolton, almost like they were saving themselves for Saturday, which they probably are.

Still, another good win, another clean sheet, so good news. Joe, once again, was very good, which given he seemed to be out of breath fairly early on (hands on knees after about 25 mins!) was great to see. With proper match fitness, he can only get better which is a wonderful thought.

Only down point was Studge and his early substitution. If it had been for Borini, I would understand, but there was little point in Didier coming on. I was in the East stand (boo) and he looked pretty gutted to come off - head in hands, didn;t put on tracksuit etc...
