February 5, 201511 yr Still working my way through 1001 songs you should listen to before you die. Good listening to ones I know well as well as ones I've never heard and everywhere in between. Crazy Horses by the Osmonds now. Never liked it much at the time, but it's brought a smile to my face for some reason!

February 6, 201511 yr Oh wow - love Tom Smith's voice - didn't realise they had a new one out - must check it out. It came out 2013, not sure if that's still classed as "new"? I don't keep up with music very much anymore and so stumbled across it recently. He's a great singer though, agreed, if you like them I might be worth giving Interpol a listen if you haven't already, quite similar musical and vocal style.

They seemed to be everywhere at one time (I saw them at least twice at V) and then went very quiet. The last thing I knew that he did was the Christmas album Funny Looking Angels which I love. And yes thanks for that I will give Interpol a listen to. I think I downloaded one of theirs but haven't listened yet.

All a bit pretentious I think and then it was a 4 year gap until the newest album, I think they had a re-think on their style and the new album is a return to the earlier stuff and in my opinion might even be their best album. With Interpol I would recommend the album "Antics" as a the best one to introduce yourself to them, avoid their self titled album as it isn't that good.
February 6, 201511 yr Been listening to Huey Lewis and the News again recently. Edited February 6, 201511 yr by Zeta Orionis

February 9, 201511 yr "Songs of Innocence" (Deluxe Version) by U2. They're my favourite band, have been since I was in my teens. Every time I hear I hear a song by them, I feel like a teenager again, not having to worry about anything.
February 10, 201511 yr Any blues songs about liquor: Big Mama has a belter here: Also Memphis Slim: A bit of Lightnin' Hopkins:
February 18, 201511 yr ^ If we didn't make fun of you for listening to U2 then you are safe with most anything including Take That. That is, until you link Coldplay. Now that would mean open season on you ;) ---
