The next bands you are going to see?

Eton Blue at the Chelsea Megastore

I'm off to see Bruce Springsteen (I'm in training now to last the course) and Robbie in June (I know Robbie doesn't do anything for my street cred but I think he is awesome and have always had  brillig time at his gigs!).  And then, nothing planned

Gonna see Biffy for the first time since Brixton 2007, I really liked the first 3 albums, but felt they had taken a wrong turn with Puzzle, listening intensely to Opposites as I imagine this will dominate the set. Anyways, I'll be with daughter which is always a great pleasure.

Think I'll catch Noah & the Whales next week.

Off to see Robbie tomorrow - whoop whoop! Will have a brilliant time with half my family there - won't be able to talk on Sunday but who cares!

And have just booked tickets for a small local festival in September.  £30 for the weekend including camping - should be fun - and if the weather's poor we can come home for the night. Maximo Park and Athlete playing and a comedy tent.  Looking forward to it.

Hmmm, this more like bands I recently saw, but anyway...

I went to a local festival on Sunday and saw Mission of Burma, Negative Approach, Black Bananas and Chelsea Light Moving.

Chelsea Light Moving was the highlight of the day, although none of them were particularly brilliant. Black Bananas was a bit of mess, but the others were alright. Mission of Burma would probably have been better if they'd played a bit later. 18:00PM was a bit too early for them, I think. Oh yeah, while we were eating, there was this sad hipster band playing called "How to Dress Well". They didn't dress well or play good music and they seemed to be a bunch of whining gits.

Saw a Madness/Ska tribute band the other week, Mainly Madness, they were quality.

Going to the Ealing Blues Festival on the 21st, normally go the saturday but their doing two days this year & Doctor Feelgood are the headline act on the sunday(21st), if you've never been its a great music festival to take kids too, only a £5 to get in & you can take your own booze & food.

Then got two tribute bands gigs, The Mods Aug 23rd then The Rolling Stoned on sept 20th

Saw Madness last week at Newmarket racers. Full of spammers but still a top gig always worth going if you can, madness always put on a show. I even won a few quid on the horses which just goes to show you dont need to understand form etc.

If you catch Woods on Saturday I would be interested to hear what you think.

I think I'll try to catch a bit of Black Lizard and then go see a bit of Woods. Then again, Black Lizard is a local band, so I can see them some other time.
