May 25May 25 Not a rumour I’ve seen but I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if we sign Dean Huijsen from Madrid. He’s not had many minutes and is PL ready.

May 26May 26 Simon Phillips saying we have enquired about Lewis Hall, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guiamares. With Newcastle asking about Delap and Josh.
May 27May 27 I may not be very keen on Lewis Hall (or say Livramento). I think they are both great but there is nothing to be gained in going backwards. Morgan Rogers looking at Arsenal. We could have - should have - but we got Gittens/Garnacho instead :0(
May 27May 27 Young and expensive winger available - Said El Mala, 19. German. El Mala is a versatile winger known for his pace, dribbling, and direct attacking style. He often cuts inside from wide positions to create or finish scoring opportunities. Analysts have noted his strong acceleration, confident one-on-one play, and composed finishing. He is primarily known for his long range, as well as solo goals

I believe Brentford were the latest club offering 45m Euros for him. Bundesliga tax and all of that, but worth a risk at that price. Looks very physical.
May 27May 27 Not a rumour of Chelsea being interested or anything, but if this was true, should we go after him?

Brentford is the level he needs to be at presently, would struggle for game time at a big club. Rayan is one I am intrigued about at Brentford; if he continues his half season debut form into next season, would sign in Jan and loan back till the end of the season.

May 28May 28 Konate leaving Liverpool on a free. I'd of been all over this a season ago, but watching Liverpool this season Konate has looked Disasi levels of bad.

Missing out on Alisson and van Djik to Liverpool, and signing Bakayoko must go down as Granovskaia's worst failures.1 hour ago, Sconnie Blue said:Konate leaving Liverpool on a free.I'd of been all over this a season ago, but watching Liverpool this season Konate has looked Disasi levels of bad.Konate had his heart set on Madrid. He thought he'd walk there with TAA. They've probably taken one look at his lowlights from this season and said "new number, who dis?". Still, given we signed Tosin at the same age and stage, if the wages are manageable I'd take him in a heartbeat. He is levels and levels above Tosin. Edited May 29May 29 by SydneyChelsea

A big NO from me. Still think he might end up at Madrid. They love a freebie

They love a freebieMe too, but they tend to conclude their free transfers very early in the window. They definitely do need a centre-back but apart from Konate's poor season, his injury history is pretty sketchy and that's the main concern I actually have as we need our incoming CB to be someone capable of taking the load off Colwill. Madrid's actual problem at CB is that their options are Raul Asencio plus a rotating cast of sicknotes in Alaba, Rudiger, Militao and potentially even Huijsen it seems. Adding Konate just makes that worse, unless they're hoping that by having seven quality CBs, they should statistically have two available at any given time.PSG seems more likely. Beraldo is clearly a level below the rest of the team, and Konate could rest 32 games a season and just rock up for the Champions League.

Mourinho’s appointment is yet to be announced also. I reckon they will sign a CB with Alaba leaving, and Militao a long term injury concern. Thing is though; Perez might decide to spend big on Gvardiol who is refusing to sign a contract at CB, as a reaction to Barca’s spending spree. If they sign either Konate or Gvardiol, you would hope our lot are front of the queue for Huljsen with Rudiger renewing.Wouldn’t be worried about PSG. Enrique prefers a smaller squad, and Marquinhos has a contract till 2028. Beraldo is the long term partner for Pacho, and they have Zabarnyi as an option. There are loads of CBs potentially available this summer. City potentially have 4 CBs that might be on the move in Stones (don’t want), Ake (intriguing), Dias and Gvardiol. More worried about us getting ahead of the market and binning our dross before everyone starts trading.

So we could already be two weeks behind the rest, unless we can get some prearranged deals booked now in advance of the the financial reporting year. Forethought, strategy, Clearlake, WinStupid Hmm!

I saw a lot of him especially with France. Looked a terrific prospect. And alongside VVD before VVD turned into a shadow of himself and the 'Pool defence fell apart. In the right hands, with the right partner, I think he will come good again.
