I could see someone signing Disasi off the back of his loan at West Ham, but the others ? A hard sell for Badiashile, Tosin and Fofana methinks ... Badiashile and Fofana due to book value and wages, and Tosin due to wages.

Yes - his fee shouldn't be an issue. But his wages is a different matter ... I just don't see another club offering him the same money as BlueCo gave him, so why would he leave ?

There are some gems in our U18 & u21 sides, which a normal club will be looking to fast track into our 1st team with nothing to play for. Mathias Eboue is a ridiculous talent who we need to be careful about, as other teams might look to take advantage of our situation. 8 goals and 2 assists in his last games, has been scoring for fun for both the U18 & U21 sides and still on 17.

Agree. The youth got more attention in the Abramovich era. Not anymore, but there's still some ridiculous talents in there that I am sure the German clubs will try to sign very soon. Pretty sure some of the Cobham youths currently at the clubs will turn into some special players in 5-6 years time. Unfortunately in other leagues I am afraid.

No bomb squad anymore, just squad. Full of dead wood on long contracts and clubs all round the world having to sell even when they want to buy.

You really didn’t need a crystal ball to foresee a buyers market with the financial constraints in place and that unnecessary carpet buying young talent for top$ at this time might not be the way to go. Especially as those players often fail to be better than our own academy players.

Isn't Rico Henry out of contract too? Sell Cucurella while stock is relatively high and bring him in too. Can't imagine he'd demand the 175K we pay Cucurella either.
