Should we put in a sneaky bid for the lad? the lad who's all grown up now and yet it's always Frank Lampards voice i hear saying "Mason Mount". lol.We got his best years. Injuries and burn out caught up with him. He'll appreciate the more leisurely Serie A.

They all abandoned it the season after.I'd normally agree but when the alternative is having the five muppets spend another billion on utter dross and market opportunities I'm more than happy to give Alonso control.

I do wonder though if our inability to pay big wages, and the state of our finances are forcing him to sanction some of these deals. No top manager walks into a supposed “big club” with a list of targets including Chavarria, Lacroix, Xhaka and Palestra. The Wharton links have disappeared, and I reckon they spoke with his agents, heard his wage demands and switched to Xhaka.

June 30Jun 30 No matter how much people hate Enzo Fernandez, it is silly to think BlueCo would let him leave for cheap in a market where Elliot Anderson goes for 130M and Mateus Fernandes for 85M.

This whole situation stems from Enzo demanding a new contract worth £350k/w, which the club isn’t interested in paying. I expect him to force the move, and probably hand in a transfer request after the World Cup. His argument would be that if you value at £120m, pay him like a £120m player. The Guimaraes situation at Newcastle is a precedent; Newcastle are offering him a new contract at £250k/w, and have just turned down a £60m offer from Arsenal.

If Enzo is a 120m player we will get an offer of 120m. If we get an offer of 120m and turn it down, then he has the right to ask for more wages and hand in a transfer request. But if we aren't getting big money offers, then he has to accept his place is here. And he needs to show the world he's worth it.However I'm expecting that RM are waiting until after the world cup. Argentina have a strong chance of winning the thing. And if you're going to spunk 120m on a player, do it when he's won the world cup. That's what we did.

No formal talks have started, with Madrid prioritizing player sales over the hefty fee, even as Fernández remains on a shortlist of five options.”Perez isn’t giving us £120m, that much is certain. I reckon even if a move were to happen (highly doubt it), he would hand in a transfer request, and go on strike like Isak. £80m + add ons will be the sweet spot.

CB wise the only specialist that you don't want is ccb, it is very difficult to play a slow cb if you want to run man to man press. Edited July 1Jul 1 by Bob stark

Guler, arguably wouldn't be far off of Fernandez's fee and this mob desperately need some wonga. If they can get Camavinga and 60m, it would be a small amortised loss on Fernandez which will have to get swallowed up in the fire sale that we have to make.I wouldn't be surprised to see Disasi come into the briefs pretty soon. With Struijk moving from Leeds to Brighton, they were supposedly interested in Disasi when WHU were still in the division. If we shift Disasi, along with Trev and George (as pure profits) then maybe that allows some wiggle room on Fernandez. But i am pretty sure we are going to have to take someone from them. As you say there is no way they are parting with that type of dough to us.

Xavi Simmons is on £200k/w, Gallagher £250k/w, and they have an agreement with Tonali at £200k/w. Won’t be surprised if targets start opting for Spurs as the 2nd prime option after Arsenal, since our lot are more interested in rummaging through the bargain bin.

On the other hand has there ever been a dominant serial winner that doesn't pay top wages?

I can 100% imagine they'll find the money somehow, especially if Argentina go far. He is welcome to hand in a transfer request. We are welcome to tell him he's free to go when the money is found.
July 1Jul 1 These transfer fees are getting a little out of control. No saudi league to sell excess too. No real money in La Liga either. Is this bubble about to burst?
