Now that is one player I'd love if signs for us. I doubt City would sell anyone to us though.

No way City will sell to us, we are their main rival to the league and to other transfer targets. Unless its for crazy money then i just dont see any business going on.

A player we should of signed when we had the chance. Now we would have to pay over the odds if we wanted him, this would do well for our home grown rule and add a bit more directness from the right/left wing.

Me too. We shoot ourselves in the foot though, we were traking him & Modric before they moved, now pay double to get them (if we can).

City paid him well over the top in wages to get him if I remember correctly. They havent made the best use of him though, I would be very happy to see us get him.

They story of our lives, there are so many players that we should have got early but instead the likes of united and now city at getting. Why are our scouts not bringing these players the our boards attention?

You do realise we wont sign every single player we go in for, sometimes a player will want to go to another club. Or in Johnsons case City offered much higher wages than we were willing to pay. What about the players we did sign over other clubs?

Wouldn't concern yourself too much 'u know it makes sense'. The whole scouting team has been revamped this summer.

Johnson is a quality target, as many have said we should have bought him when we had the chance. But he does fit the mould of what I have been after in about 5 other threads in the last week. Makes you wonder why we didn't try for Young then who was infinitely more gettable.

Never mind, a right wing link even if it is from twitter is better than nothing. That said there are plenty more fish in the sea who are just as good and more gettable if this doesn't work out.

Saying that though there is about 2-3 first team starters in that line up.

Yeh, apparently that's why he doesn't play. Some bust up he doesn't train well or something.

I remember Mancini saying something about it a while ago. Something along the lines of him liking a drink a bit too much, and having let the fame go to his head a bit.

Just as a further point, I jumped across to bluemoon to have a peek at what they thought about him possibly moving. Nothing on the potential move, but hails of abuse towards the player about his decision making, perceived selfishness and inability/refusal to ever cross the ball.
