That Derek Ridgers has some great photo's to be fair, didnt he ever do football? i bet he'd have some quality photo's from back in the day. I'm not sure mate, don't think so........never seen any football pics, and he does usually promote all his old stuff and sell books with it.
December 17, 201510 yr Author I'm not sure mate, don't think so........never seen any football pics, and he does usually promote all his old stuff and sell books with it. Thats a shame mate, you saying he is Spurs got me wondering if he done their fans photo's from the 70s.
December 18, 201510 yr Thats a shame mate, you saying he is Spurs got me wondering if he done their fans photo's from the 70s. It's possible, he was born in 1952 so he'd be old enough. I'll ask him
December 19, 201510 yr Had an unexpected blether with a company driver who has been a Chelsea fan since the early 1960s. Part of our working area inside is called CFC and he got into a conversation over it standing for Chelsea FC. His favourite all time Blues players are Ossie, Chopper Harris and Charlie Cooke. So the guy knows his Chelsea.
December 20, 201510 yr Was working at The Open Golf and started talking to a guy about Chelsea and he started talking about being at the Greenock Morton v Chelsea Fairs Cup match in autumn of 1968 ! He wasn't into football, but was from London and was just working in Greenock at the time of this match. Just thought I'd share that. My father was at that game in the Chelsea end and my mother in the Greenock Morton end. It was the first game both of them had been to against someone outside of Scotland as they were only young at the time. Random fact.
December 20, 201510 yr Mayos:Cheers for that. Amazing what you learn on here. Not being sarcastic mate
December 20, 201510 yr Great clipping. It was Mortons first and only time playing in Europe. Ironic that Charlie Cooke, who grew up in Greenock missed the game at Cappielow.

December 23, 201510 yr Author I would have loved to have stood on the west terrace. In the days before undersoil heating, Tarmac melting road burners are used to thaw a frozen Stamford Bridge in 1963
December 23, 201510 yr Not sure if this site has been posted previously in this thread, but some cracking pics in there http://www.corbychelsea.com/on-the-pitch.php
