The year was 1970......I was there! .........I have got the Daily express F A  cup final magazine ........and in one of the pages, is a photograph of David Webb scoring at white hart lane, semi final 1st half against Watford ......I actually spotted myself celebrating behind the net of the goal area.....Also in the picture, is a toilet roll hanging on the net, thrown by me ! .....great memories.

I remember the journey to white hart lane, walking down the seven sisters road, with my mate, proudly displaying our Chelsea colours........

Thought we might have got millwall tonight in the cup draw got me thinking of incidents  like this.

I was at the Den that night......I remember there was a lot of hatred in the air, I stood on the half way line, surrounded by millwall nutters, some of them wearing long white butchers coats, probably tooled up with meat cleavers ( security checks at the turn style) were lacking in those days), however I was with a couple of millwall mates of mine, and obviously was nervous, hence I kept my mouth shut ! ..........there weren't many Chelsea fans in the away end that night ( probably only a couple of thousand........which is small compared to other Chelsea away games, where Chelsea used to take many more thousands ) .....however we went for a beer in a local pub after the match. My mates were just nice normal guys like me.

I remember going to Cardiff with them, and it all kicked off, but we managed to come out unscathed and after the end of the match skirmish, we cheekily went into the main Cardiff fans pub across the road from their ground ( it was Ninian park stadium) and enjoyed a few pints and a game of darts, then jumped on a bus to the city centre, and drove home.

I suppose, I was Lucky!

I was 16 and on the terrace that night. Very interesting after game when lost contact with my brother who had forgotten where he parked the car!! Saw some unbelievable sites, cars on fire fighting everywhere!! By pure luck I was walking down the old Kent rd when I saw my brother and shouted and waved and was so pleased to get in the car! This was about 11pm so I after that I thought I could deal with anything.
