My mistake we weren't that good!! I did see the three home wins that season!! The amazing thing is how many times we took the lead that season home and away and either drew or lost. Lost 9 drew 4 from Winning starts.

Frank Soo, another player that time has largely forgotten. Half Chinese, born in Liverpool, the first non-white/Asian England international, served for the RAF during WW2, during which he played for several teams, including, Chelsea as a guest. Slightly enuous link perhaps, but a fascinating story nonetheless. Saw this the other day on BBC London:

 

A few moons ago i told the story of an inspector, in the BILKO days who had my friends and i arrested on a pony charge in the shed when he told us to move away as we stood and ate our burgers ....His face was a picture as the judges through out the case...His name came to me the other day...INSPECTOR McPHERSON...Moustachio twat
