July 28, 20178 yr There is currently being shown on Sky Sports. A short, 35 minute documentary on Gianfranco Zola. Think the series is called Premiership Legends. Some great footage of the genius at work.
July 28, 20178 yr found this by accident! The king is studio guest with some old stories for some of you younger fans. Also I think a certain British Rail employee is in the audience.

Also I think a certain British Rail employee is in the audience. Brilliant Richard P...... Rodney Marsh' half time story about Alf Ramsey had me in stitches. Take note though both Marsh and Osgood were considered to be lazy players, and Ramsey overlooked them both. A total of only 13 England caps between Marsh and Osgood, what a joke that is for two world class players.

As a 17 year old was told by the older faces who he was Chelsea legend

My one abiding memory was, there was a thunderstorm which left bloody great puddles, bordering on lakes over the pitch then a young enthusiastic Eddie Mac sliding in on Matthews, water spray everywhere, until Matthews appeared from the spray with the ball still at his feet while McCreadie was picking himself up from the dog track.
July 29, 20178 yr Remember visiting Sit Stanley Matthews sports shop when in Blackpool for our family summer holiday back in 1977

As a 17 year old was told by the older faces who he was Chelsea legend if it was the same game Greenaway was in the top bit of the Riverside Stand, towards the Putney End, and whilst it weren't uncommon for him to get clapped to his seat he received a right old reception that day. Bit of trivia, Fulhams record attendance was 48,000 odd against Millwall in 38. The reason why so many bowled up? Because we were due to play at home but the game got called off. Fulham fans don't often mention that oddly enough!
