FA Cup Final Replay 1970

Highlights.

Needing cheered up after Sundays result.

"That's a free kick, not a throw!" Ken Wolstenholme on the Hutchinson missile. Love it.

Always thought that Harry's caricature was Alan 'Fluff' Freeman while Paul was supposed to be Kid Jenson, which is probably why Tony Blackburn couldn't do anything about the sketch?

No it's Blackburn Kid Jensen wasn't on Radio 1 in the 60's plus Paul Whitehouse said he felt bad a few years later for taking the piss out of someone having a breakdown. Also in the show Kid Jensen was called Kid Pension

Football Dreams: Jody Morris & the Chelsea F.C. Youth Team 1997

A documentary focusing on the Chelsea Youth squad circa 1997 and in particular Jody Morris's progression into the Chelsea First Team.

Haven't seen this before.

64 mins in length.

1 May 1977 LWT - The Big Match: Chelsea behind the scenes

Some footage behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge before a Chelsea league game in 1977. (Hull City which we won 4-0)

Skipper Ray Wilkins can be seen discussing with manager Eddie McCreadie.

I know I've posted this before, but I think its worth posting again.

Bluehaze re the picture above of the west stand ,at first glance I thought yup the west stand ,then having looked at it longer I am not so sure .It does look top left as there  is still seating to go in ,so not finished but but the dimensions look wrong. The depth of the lower benches looks spot on but the depth of the seating doesn’t look right. ... yet there is the dog track and the   North stand sweeping round !! It is very odd ...I need to walk away and then come back and have another look ...great picture all the same

Totally agree it might not be the WS I've changed my mind countless times. If you look at the picture Boyne posted underneath to make a comparison and yet I like you are not 100% convinced here's another pic of the WS

Image result for chelsea old west stand

I actually now think it is and I think it is half built which it is why is looks slightly odd.The top back bit isn’t finished so it could easily go back more and the top left isn’t finished so it can grow more to the left.... I fear this puzzle will intrigue me more than tonight’s game ....off now to see when it was actually built and then compare the build date to the crowd and what they are wearing to see if there is a correlation ....with a bit of luck I might miss kick off ha ha

Daft questions, but what are the multi coloured stalls at the far side ?

Was this some sort of Chelsea Open Day ?

Yes, an open day. Taken in the mid-eighties.

Well here I am sitting in bed, looking at all angles, making the picture larger, looking at it upside down, inside out and everything, and no I'm not looking at a porno picture, I am pretty certain that is the west stand!! Think I will turn the light out now, enough excitement for one day!!

Looked at this countless times 99.9999% sure it's the West Stand presumably under construction. I do remember those wooden fences separating the West and North Stand.

I don’t remember the roof pointing upwards as much?

The floodlight pilons in the right place, the wrap around to to the North Stand looks weird ( can only remember railings/ the ones Spurs tried to shake down in 78-79)

Looking at the dog track thought it might be Eastville but it’s definately not.

Great pic.
