Doesn't state the year but it does look like we're playing Leeds. I like that one of the coppers is watching the game rather than looking at the fans.

For the 82 game one of the papers mentioned that Chelsea stewards ( who were fans rather than the minimum wage jobsworths we get now) aimed kicks and punches at the Leeds fans trying to scale the fences. A Leeds fan I was working with got nicked at Piccadilly Circus tube where it all went off. About a year after he got detained for a few weeks in Luxenburg I think after an England game.

This was the very first match I went to. Had the programme for years but goodness knows where it is now. We had black and white telly in those days so it was a bit of a shock to see how green the pitch was.

August 5, 20196 yr That was a tough season ,I didn’t do many games ,but did the notts county game as last game of the season, so must have thought why not .... The demo wasn’t planned as far as I recall ,in fact being the last game we might have been on the pitch regardless ...seems a long time ago now

August 6, 20196 yr In that Alan Hudson photo. It looks we did a fair amount of sprint training, judging by the pairs of running spikes hanging up alongside the football boots. Edited August 6, 20196 yr by erskblue
