September 9, 201510 yr Anyone big into football manager. I had a save of 17 days once. If I ever get another desk top I will be straight back on that bad boy. One of the best games ever created. As a footnote, anyone else remember the football manager game that worked in tandem with FIFA. Once year it had Martin O'Neil on the cover. I always remember it because we had Jürgen Macho as a goalkeeping option. That game was really sh*t when I look back now but at the time I really thought it was all that.

That wasn't FM, that was Total Club Manager 2004 which eventually became 'FIFA Manager'. But it was (and I know Rich agrees) one of the all time great football games. With regards to FM, the new one looks very promising this year. Cross-play between your PC and tablet and plenty of other really nice new features.

My god, yes. Half my football knowledge comes from that game, analysing every single player for a potential signing.

September 9, 201510 yr Anyway remember fa premier league manager 1999? I remember signing ronaldo only for him to get an injury for 3000 odd days, before he even kicked a ball! Not sure if it was a glitch or whether they thought it would be a nice feature to have career ending injuries! Edit this is the bad boy!https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_F.A._Premier_League_Football_Manager_99 Edited September 9, 201510 yr by big blue
September 9, 201510 yr Please tell me you played Macho at the back on the 02/03 version. I had 03/04. Signed Reuven Oved from Maccabi Tel Aviv every time I played because he'd turn out to be the best player in the world. Unfortunately it didn't work out like that in real life - his last club was in the fifth and bottom division of Israeli football.
September 9, 201510 yr Played two more games of FIFA. Feels exactly the same as 15 to me unless I'm missing something. Pace is still a killer, have it to Hazard on the half way line and just burned away from the opposition defense with enough time to pick out a finesse finish in the far corner. Defending still feels really awkward and it's seems like luck rather than skill when you win back possession half the time.
September 10, 201510 yr Played the first two missions of Phantom Pain. Apart from an overlong prologue (escaping from that hospital seemed to take forever), im enjoying it. Taking outposts works exactly like Far Cry 3/4, except with better AI. The Fulton balloon thing is hilarious. I'm going to attach it to sheep and wildlife so I can start up my own zoo at Mother Base! Thinking of buying this. I'm on annual leave for the next week and a half and need a game to sink time into. Never played any of the previous MSG games though
September 10, 201510 yr I'm trying to pace myself with MGS, trying not to rush through it. Fantastic game.

Never played any of the previous MSG games though I'd only played not even half of one on the Gamecube back in the day (Twin Snakes I think it was?) but it doesn't matter if you're a newbie to the series apparently. September 10, 201510 yr SNAKE? SNAKE? SNAAAAKKEEEE! Classic death screen right there. Didn't know Petr Cech was in it... Jokejokejokejokejokejoke
September 10, 201510 yr Championship Manager 01/02 will always be the best managment simulator imo. Agreed, I spent a ridiculous amount of time on it. Though I'm old enough to remember the original football manager games on the speccie, they were amazing at the time.
September 10, 201510 yr Might get Forza Horizon 2. I've wanted it for ages and now I've finished the Witcher I'm looking for something casual to play. The reviews are amazing and it's only £20-£25 now.

September 10, 201510 yr Definitely buy FH2. It's great fun, especially when you're playing with mates.
September 10, 201510 yr Actually don't get forza, you'll just have to put up with adam telling you how much better than you he is.......unless your actually good at games.
