I have recently become addicted to SteamWorld Dig on the DS. As somebody who rarely games these days, partly due to a lack of time and partly due to me becoming bored of the same old stuff being repackaged and re-released year after year, this is quite an achievement. It's the perfect game to pick up and play in 10 minute blasts.

How is everyone liking the FIFA 16 Demo?

I played a good few games last night and found it much more refined than 15 plus the difficulty has went up a few notches.

I didn't know it was out, I'll download it now.

 

This is the 1st time my xbox has developed a layer of dust since I bought it last November. Rocket league on Steam > any xbone game.

Managed to do a side mission on MGSV completely in stealth for the first time. Felt good.

I can't ever imagine doing a proper mission fully stealth. The buggers always seem to spot me.

Metal gear solid games are way too difficult for me. If you like the sneaking around type stuff maybe you should try the hitman and splinter cell games if you haven't already. Brilliant franchises.

Feels like pace is less of a factor now. For some reason, when I was running with Ronaldo, it felt like I was running through custard. Think it will be a lot about skill this time. 

Played one game, felt like FIFA always feels.

Passing is a big thing in fifa this time around, the driven pass is a fantastic addition. Shooting too is pretty nice, some of the goals look great.

Of course it will be one stake by Christmas.

The only difference I'm noticing is the pace seems a bit slower as was mentioned.

 

Other than that, feels very similar to 15.

Well FIFA is always going to feel like FIFA in the same way PES 16 feels like PES 15.

Played a few 2-player games last night.

You cant just sprint past players like in 15, people who master the no touch dribbling and passing will be the ones to gain the most from FIFA 16 which is good because the previous version made everyone make their team as fast as possible to the point it was really annoying.

They basically just re-release FIFA 15 pre patched. 

Thinking I might go back to pes this year since the ps4 option files can sort the licensing out. I got pes 2015 about 2 months ago after getting bored of fifa, but after playing fifa since fifa 12, it's hard to get past the licensing issues.

Not played the fifa demo yet though, I don't think they hold too much weight in terms of the end product though.

Computer made it a bit easy for me to win the game I played on the demo last night. 

 

Played as Chelsea (obviously), decided to play against Inter Milan. 

 

Went 1-0 after about 22 minutes (Willian scored which instantly made me think the game was unrealistic). 

 

As soon as the 2nd half started Inter made a sub and seemed to be playing a higher line which made it pretty easy to play the through ball. Just had to get it up to Costa, hold it for a couple of seconds and the AI would make an off the ball run into space. Time the through ball and BANG, one and one with the keeper. 

 

I'll bump up the difficulty tonight and play against Barca and Madrid to see if that's any different.

What level was that on? Fifa 15 was the first that I could comfortably win the quadruple on legendary with the default chelsea team.

I think it's going to come down to whether master league or career mode offer the biggest challenge. I don't really play online much these days, I think my ps plus account has expired!

No idea, whatever the default was... Not sure if it adjusted based on my FIFA 15 preferences? I would guess professional though. 

 

I was frustrated by career mode on 15, too your better players would say they were homesick and you would be forced to sell. 

 

Contract negotiations were a pain too, you'd try to offer something that wasn't too excessive and the player would shut down talks and say they need time to think about their future or some nonsense.

Anyone that played a fair bit of Fifa 15 will know that occasionally, if a cross comes in and there's a bunch of players going for a header, a player that you're not controlling will auto-header it which more often than not would barely make contact or miss completely. Last night on 16, as Gladbach, I crossed from a wide free kick and was about to header it with the guy I was controlling before Drmic got in front of me and auto-bicycled kicked it into the top corner. 

 

Other than that, I didn't really notice any other differences.

Personally I'm pissed off they never put any decent resources into improving pro clubs. They could even put the same paid options as on ultimate team if it's all about the cash. Something needs to be done with a game mode that is brilliant but fundamentally flawed at the same time.

Agreed, the only reason I'll buy it (when it gets cheaper) is because pro clubs is usually a good laugh, however I felt it went massively backwards from 14 to 15.

 

At the end of game it chucks you out after 30 seconds, so if you want to watch a match highlight, by the time the annoying cut scenes have finished, you've got about 12 seconds to find the right clip and watch it. If you happen to win the league, there are more cutscenes so you can't watch them at all. It wouldn't be an issue if it was putting you straight into a new game, but you have another 40 second wait (at least) in the lobby before that. It's retarded.

We should all play in same team, along with my mate Dave, who is actually a Chelsea fan too (not Azpilicueta).

It's definitely the best game mode but the endless cutscenes of players placing the ball for a corner/freekick/goalkick or fetching the ball for a throw etc are infuriating. Slows it right down.

 

It's probably why I love rocket league so much. It's 100% pick up and play.

Played it earlier, hardly any difference pretty crap, Pro evo looks to be the better this year.

 

Still playing MGS just reached episode 10 very time consuming but brilliant.
