September 21, 201510 yr Played both again yesterday. Pro evo is definitely more fun and Fifa is definitely more realistic. I'm sure I'll end up with both. I agree with this. In terms of authenticity FIFA is the game that best replicates how a game of football looks, from stadium to the grass it represents live TV games perfectly. In terms of skill, player individuality and representing how football is played PES has this won comfortably. Both have their merits and both have their downfalls.
September 21, 201510 yr Got Pro Evo on saturday only just had a chance to play a bit of it having finished all the logo's and kits, really good game but a few annoying things, Lobbed pass is well overpowered, laggy servers and no new game modes to keep you entertained just a few small things really but plays and looks brilliant. Will probably get FIFA aswell purely because I get it every year although thought the demo was dreadful.
September 21, 201510 yr The commentary is awful on Pes this year. Normally I can shut it out buts too in your face. Whenever you shoot, you get "Costaaaaa!" or "Haaaaazard!". Grrrr.
September 21, 201510 yr Got enough clubcard vouchers for a new game. MGSV, Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, FIFA/PES, Just Cause 3. Decisions, decisions...
September 22, 201510 yr Starting to think ill never get to the end of MGS. I've done 7 main missions and about 8 side missions so far and only 6% completed.
September 22, 201510 yr When I first started playing the FIFA demo I thought it was terrible, I really did. However as I have EA access I had like 8? hour trial to play it or something and I've completely used the whole thing. I found its actually really pretty good, it just takes a while to get used to. I love the fact that when you lose possession the team will start to flood back, previously they wouldn't be able to do that and you would concede a goal every time. Another good thing about it is the diagonal switch ball is a lot easier to pull off, it really does feel a lot more realistic in that aspect. The block attempts as passes as going past players is also more realistic this year. I'm not sure when all is said and done how it will compare to other years but it's a lot better once you get used to it. I was really getting into career mode when it kicked out. P.S plants vs zombies garden warfare is really addictive if you have EA access too. Do not get on it, it is like crack!
September 22, 201510 yr Got an early access Beta code for Rainbow Six Siege. Was quite looking forward to the game initially when it was announced. Only played the one match last night which consisted of 6 rounds. 3 defending and 3 attacking. Got to say that the initial impression was that the game is too slow, the rounds don't last that long because there is no re-spawning and the maps are very small. Not sure how much replay value there is in a game like this and you'll only really benefit from having a headset because communicating is a huge advantage.
September 22, 201510 yr Starting to think ill never get to the end of MGS. I've done 7 main missions and about 8 side missions so far and only 6% completed. I'm thinking the same thing. Really good game though. I want my Fulton to develop more , at present can only pick up humans, sheep and mortars/gun placements. Managing the Diamond Dogs and their various job roles back at Mother Baser is a b**** .
September 22, 201510 yr FIFA 16 has been getting some very disappointing reviews across the board this year, it seem near enough all prefer PES. Worrying times for EA.

September 22, 201510 yr Don't really use newspaper sites for gaming reviews. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/09/22/fifa-soccer-16-review http://www.videogamer.com/reviews/fifa_16_review.html http://arstechnica.co.uk/gaming/2015/09/review-fifa-16s-formulaic-football-is-outmatched-by-this-years-pes/ Even Fifasoccerblog have it as pretty dissapointing http://fifasoccerblog.com/blog/fifa-16-review/ While not 'bad' reviews when you compare them to the reviews PES has been getting it's a bit worrying with the lack of effort EA seem to be putting in.

Enjoy it while you can, it will be patched beyond recognition within the first few weeks after people start moaning.

Managing the Diamond Dogs and their various job roles back at Mother Baser is a b**** . Didn't even know you can send them out. Thanks for that, I'll have to try it out. Guessing it's abit like Assasains Creed and sending them out on mini missions?
September 23, 201510 yr Yes you can send them out on mini missions and to recruit other staff and bring in some money. You can also play as them instead of Snake which I don't do personally.
September 24, 201510 yr Played another round of Rainbox Six Siege a couple of nights ago. There's just not enough substance to it. Evolve bombed after being multiplayer only game that is dependent on team work and I can see this game going the same way. Groups of friends who all wear headsets, talk to each other and work together are going to dominate this game. People like me who play video games because I have no friends to social with are just going to be left frustrated by the experience. Might give it one more try but the instant and continuous gratification you get from playing CoD or Battlefield online is lacking from this game.
September 24, 201510 yr Caved in and got FIFA last night despite having PES and enjoying it. I think it's the career mode and how authentic the EPL is that draws me to it. Nothing beats playing at the bridge hearing our songs belted out.
September 24, 201510 yr Konami have announced that PES rosters are being updated 1st October. Must admit, even as a Pes fan it's pretty poor they haven't even got the latest teams squads.
September 24, 201510 yr Konami have announced that PES rosters are being updated 1st October. Must admit, even as a Pes fan it's pretty poor they haven't even got the latest teams squads. Yeah that's another reason I got FIFA too. I'm not starting a ML with the squads badly out of date and I'm not waiting a month to play a season with Chelsea.
September 24, 201510 yr I agree with you, career mode (although it was quite poor last year) is still a massive draw for Fifa. Also seeing that you can download a Chelsea sleeve for the case and get rid of the Henderson one is a nice touch. I'll get Fifa soon, but I'll probably pick up PES at some point. It will likely be £15 by crimbo.
September 24, 201510 yr I saw that now you have pre season tournaments with prize money in career mode which is better than those pointless friendly's we used to all skip! Yeah PES always goes cheap but this year it's defiantly worth a purchase (PS4 for editing value).
September 24, 201510 yr Anyone downloaded FIFA 16 for a mobile device yet? I've had the last two Android versions on my phone and I was wondering if the new one is any good. Edited September 24, 201510 yr by Maksimov
