October 2, 201510 yr Traded in FIFA, there were a lot of things that I didn't like that I thought made it quite unenjoyable to play. The player selection button is awful, switching to a player nowhere near the ball allowing the other team to easily skip through the midfield. Goalkeepers are ridiculous, making so many saves, majority of the goals I was getting were rebounds or deflections. Passing system feels clunky, by introducing the driven pass they've nerfed the sh*t out of traditional passing and they're often very weak and slow making it sluggish to move the ball around especially at speed on counter attacks. Basically I didn't find it very fun to play, this was all offline games bar five. I'm trading it in now and getting back most of what I paid out and I'll pick up the Uncharted trilogy when it comes out next week. Damning stuff there. Glad I decided to give FIFA a miss this year. I'm thinking of getting the Nathan Drake collection too, though I've never played any of the Uncharted games before. Looks like a male version of Tomb Raider, which can only be a good thing.

I'm thinking of getting the Nathan Drake collection too, though I've never played any of the Uncharted games before. Looks like a male version of Tomb Raider, which can only be a good thing. I only bought FIFA because I had nothing else to play and Metal Gear doesn't interest me, tried playing 4 and the Ground Zero demos and was bored in less than an hour of playing. So I picked up FIFA to be a bit of a time filler but it's not very good, forcing new features on you too much. Uncharted is a great series, I would highly recommend it personally, they're really good action games and Uncharted 4 is probably going to be one of the best games released on PS4 so it's worth familiarizing yourself with the series before that comes out.
October 2, 201510 yr I find this Fifa a lot more realistic than previous. Passing has to be angle perfectly or its miscontroled or goes by the player. The long punt throw ball is very difficult to pull off now which makes game play a lot more realistic. Pace players only excel once they pass their opponent and it stops pace whores constantly hammering down the wing and crossing into the box. I won't win division one so easily on this Fifa but I'm totally happy with it as my passing game is more effective but there are many others who have picked this up well too. I've played 4/5 long ball merchants and they've quit in the first half. They must hate this Fifa with a passion.
October 2, 201510 yr Decent enough team. Depay and Begovic to replace loan players Hazard and De Gea respectively.

October 2, 201510 yr Probably should have waited for the patch. When's that coming or are you just assuming there will be one? For me there are too many niggles with the game that even if they're going to patch is going to take a long time to fix. The balance of the game is way off right now. But it's stupid things like the computer will have ridiculous levels of ball retention, pinging 10 or so passes around in defence and the half way line. That's not fun chasing the ball in a nothing area of the pitch, it's just a chore. When the do attack 9 times out of 10 they're going wide and throwing crosses over and if you dare put a tackle in the refs are so strict they keep giving out free kicks, you best off trying to intercept the ball which isn't easy because like I mentioned the player select button is awful right now. I didn't hate the game but it just wasn't very much fun for me so I saw no reason to keep it.
October 2, 201510 yr Unsurprisingly, Tony Hawks is getting slammed in its reviews. It looks shoddy. Shame, I was really looking forward to a skateboarding game.
October 3, 201510 yr Without giving away spoilers, has anyone done mission 12 on MGS? I'm on it now and it's a right bugger. The helicopter and the two big bio things keep spotting me. Grrr...
October 3, 201510 yr It's the one where you must extract someone right? I'm assuming you are facing some difficulties getting to that extraction point?

I didn't hate the game but it just wasn't very much fun for me so I saw no reason to keep it. It's EA, there's always a patch. One has just been released for the PC version, consoles will be next shortly. Well that's what happens when you play CPU, it's always been like that on all FIFA's. I'm still surprised people play against the computer, it's so boring. I know what you mean though. Not sure what happened, at first it was the best FIFA game I've ever played and now it's just so annoying. Interceptions are overpowered, players can ruin into yours from behind to intercept the ball and no foul is given, then you so much as even breathe on a player the ref gives a foul. Makes no sense. Clubs has gotten better for me now, I think I was just frustrated but it's back to being good again. Seasons though is just dreadful, unplayable for me at the moment. I liked it at first but now it just feels so sluggish.
October 3, 201510 yr It's the one where you must extract someone right? I'm assuming you are facing some difficulties getting to that extraction point? Yeah you have to extract the scientist. It's a real bugger getting to the extraction point.
October 3, 201510 yr Yeah you have to extract the scientist. It's a real bugger getting to the extraction point. I just went crazy with the rpg took out the chopper then blew everything up still managed to get a b or a c rating for it.
October 3, 201510 yr After selling FIFA I bought Goat Simulator to tide me over until the Uncharted collection releases. Very funny game, not sure how long the novelty will last but that and Rocket League should keep me going for a week.

October 3, 201510 yr Yeah you have to extract the scientist. It's a real bugger getting to the extraction point. I stayed close to the rocks and walls, and patiently made my way there. I recalled taking out only one guard and that was near the extraction point.
October 3, 201510 yr Finally completed it, probably took me 30 mins to sneak there. Really tough mission. I did think about going mental and taking them down but bottled it.
October 3, 201510 yr Big horror fan so I bought Soma... Never finished Amnesia (lost the save halfway through), Love Amnesia : A Machine for Pigs. Just not enjoying this at all. The monster sections are absolutely terrible. They're not scary, they're just tedious, slowing the game to a (literal) crawl and are incredibly frustrating. I'm in one section crawling with monsters in the dark, no idea where to go (reading guides I've got to find a battery somewhere but I can't see it anywhere at all). These monsters are literally blobs of flesh on legs, you could probably take them out by hitting them with a stick. Hopefully this run and hide subgenre of horror will die out very soon. I want to play a horror game, not a stealth game in disguise. It's a shame as the story it top notch.
October 5, 201510 yr Bought the Rugby World Cup game yesterday, sold it on eBay this evening. I hadn't seen the reviews, just picked it up in Sainsburys as an impulse buy, which was a mistake. Genuinely one of worst games I've ever played and frankly, it's nothing short of disgraceful. The devs/creators/producers and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. IGN gave it 1.5 which is about 8 too much
October 5, 201510 yr NEW FAR CRY KLAXON! http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-10-05-far-cry-primal-is-an-ice-age-spin-off-report
October 5, 201510 yr No guns/vehicles is interesting. It'll be tough to keep the gameplay varied enough - maybe it'll be a mini-game or something? I LOVE Far Cry, I can't wait for the next one.

October 6, 201510 yr I saw it got be reviews. Shame, there hasn't been a good rugby game since Jonah Lomu in 90's. Yeah, playing online co-op rugby with mates would be so fun. Unsurprisingly, the World cup game does not feature online... almost feel sorry for the bloke I sold it to on eBay.
