September 26, 201510 yr Quality isn't it, rain races are difficult but great fun. Fun but also frustrating when you're leading the race, hit some standing water then spin off into a wall!
September 28, 201510 yr Star Wars Battlefront beta is coming October 8th and is open to everyone. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/09/24/star-wars-battlefront-beta-gets-a-launch-date I can't wait! If I pre-order it I get it a few days early with EA Access as well but I'll probably wait for reviews. I wonder if Playstation 4 will get EA Access soon. It's really proving to be great value for me as I've been playing FIFA 15, Dragon Age Inquisition, Titanfall, Plants vs Zombies and occasionally Need for Speed with it. I find it strange that Sony said it wasn't good value for their customers - surely they should let the customers decide that because it clearly is good value for some people at least.
September 28, 201510 yr I wonder if Playstation 4 will get EA Access soon. No chance. Sony are pushing their own streaming service via the PSN store called Playstation Now where you essentially rent games from the back catalogues by streaming them. It's rubbish value for money but they're persisting with it. Basically, they won't roll out EA access because it would be in direct competition of their service.
September 28, 201510 yr Caved and bought FIFA, will have a go tonight How's FIFA, by the way? I'm uncertain on which to buy. Still torn between FIFA and PES.
September 28, 201510 yr How's FIFA, by the way? I'm uncertain on which to buy. Still torn between FIFA and PES. PES has the better reviews but I like have the licensed leagues, kits etc which is why I went with FIFA. The game feels a lot slower than 15 did, doesn't like all you have to do is kick and chase with pacey wingers in 16. Still plays much the same, the addition of the driven passes is interesting but not sure it has really changed much. Basically, it's FIFA.

Only took me a couple of hours to fully licence pes, all correct emblems, kits, etc. The only thing I haven't done is the Bundesliga, because I think it would be a too time consuming, and I would never really use it. The most annoying thing is the roster update though, i'd do it myself but I don't think you can put players on loan in edit mode, so I think I will just waited for the data patch next month.

Not having Cuadrado in the Chelsea squad was worth buying FIFA alone.
September 29, 201510 yr I made up my mind to buy FIFA after looking at the diabolical pictures of our players in PES. Diego looks like a love child of an angry ape and a Cuban drug lord in PES 16. Horrible artwork.
September 29, 201510 yr Just read that Tony Hawk's day one patch is bigger than the actual game install ha ha, getting ridiculous now.
September 29, 201510 yr Just read that Tony Hawk's day one patch is bigger than the actual game install ha ha, getting ridiculous now. The patch is probably to update the graphics, at the 11th hour they completely revamped them and gave them a Boderlands style aesthetic. I've got a feeling the game is going to completely bomb, it looks so badly put together.

Yeah I agree it looks very shoddily banged together. shame as I used to love TH games back in the day, great fun. Though never as good as skate boarding in California games....

I don't think Neversoft is making the new Tony Hawk anyway so it wasn't looking good from day one. Shame because I loved Tony Hawk 3, I played the sh*t out of that game on my PS2 and it had some a great soundtrack too

September 29, 201510 yr Yeah same here. I was really looking forward to Tony Hawks but from what I've seen, I think it will be awful. Why haven't they made another Skate? That was a brilliant game.
September 29, 201510 yr Tony Hawks Underground was a good game back in the day, this new one looks horrific though I have to say! I got FIFA the other day PES definatly is the better football game but Ultimate team still is the biggest draw. Anyone fancy a whooping on PS4 sometime let me know.
September 29, 201510 yr I got both FIFA and PES. FIFA is still by far the better package as online in PES is a huge mess. I love the gameplay and close up visuals of PES but in terms of looking and feeling like the real thing FIFA is in a league of its own. I'm finding FIFA more difficult which is good, I'm losing games where last year of thump teams four or five nil. Driven pass is a superb addition, scored so many glorious goals through splitting teams on the counter with it. Edited September 29, 201510 yr by Chelsbear

Driven pass is a superb addition, scored so many glorious goals through splitting teams on the counter with it. Good game. I'm having a blast playing it now especially with FUT. The gameplay does seem rather slow as compared to FIFA 14's (I didn't play FIFA 15) but the passes seem to improve by a fair bit. Gonna try out the career mode soon.
September 30, 201510 yr Oh dear, I was reading the reviews for Tony Hawks and from the looks of it, it seems like the game is a total bugfest. Here's a video of some of its gameplay. There is a fair bit of graphical glitches and screen flickering spotted and I can even sense some lags in the video (not sure if it's due to the recording or if it's just the game itself). For a moment, I thought I was watching someone playing Counter Strike with all those surface clippings. Well, imagine what it would look like without that day one patch! Oh, and here's a short little review of this. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2015/09/29/tony-hawk-pro-skater-5-first-impressions-cant-teach-a-new-hawk-old-tricks/
September 30, 201510 yr Hmm... Maybe I'll keep my £40. I wouldn't play it enough to justify it anyway.
September 30, 201510 yr Only a couple of weeks and FIFA has already lost it's appeal to me. Constant fouls and the passing not going to the right person, mainly because the player receiving the ball is positioned in stupid places, is winding me up. Even pro clubs has been less enjoyable for me.
I tweaked some user settings such as passing errors and passing speed to curb that passing issue. Oh, and I set the controller settings such as pass, cross and through ball assistance to manual. Not sure if those tweaks will help you, it somewhat did for me.
October 2, 201510 yr Traded in FIFA, there were a lot of things that I didn't like that I thought made it quite unenjoyable to play. The player selection button is awful, switching to a player nowhere near the ball allowing the other team to easily skip through the midfield. Goalkeepers are ridiculous, making so many saves, majority of the goals I was getting were rebounds or deflections. Passing system feels clunky, by introducing the driven pass they've nerfed the sh*t out of traditional passing and they're often very weak and slow making it sluggish to move the ball around especially at speed on counter attacks. Basically I didn't find it very fun to play, this was all offline games bar five. I'm trading it in now and getting back most of what I paid out and I'll pick up the Uncharted trilogy when it comes out next week.
