Any game recommendation?

So been playing fallout shelter for a few days. Now I really want to play fallout 4. 2 months is too far away.

I started a play through of New Vegas on my PC the other day. Had to stop Shelter because the urge to buy extra lunchboxes was getting intense.

Also, my mate said after a certain point it becomes impossible as Deathclaws just wipeout half your dwellers every time they arrive.

Combat is similar to Batman and Shadow of Mordor and the car combat mixes it up too.... Map seems huge too and the upgrade system for Max and the car is in depth and interesting.

The gamespot video review of Mad Max is appalling. Moans about the combat despite it's similarities to games where the combat is hailed, and then he goes on to completely spoil the final 'boss battle'.

I want Mad Max, but the lack of hype and mixed (and imo, unfair) reviews should mean that it gets cheap quite quickly.

Basically it's being criticised for borrowing mechanics from other games like the combat being similar to the Batman games.

It's not particularly original gameplay wise but then not many games are nowadays.

It's got a lot of content and is fun enough to play to pass the time... That's all I was looking for in truth.

I like the post apocalypse setting anyway so with this and Fallout 4 I'm happy.

This section of the forum is going to be pretty post apocalyptic on the 10th of November. Need to decide where I'm pre-ordering that soon. ShopTo often get them out a day early so will probably go for them.

Wasteland 2 Director's Cut on 16th October and Torment: Tides of Numeria in December. Between them nothing interesting besides my birthday.

(It's Fallout Franchise 4. Sorry, I just cannot view Fallout 3 as a real Fallout game, and I fear 4 won't be better at all.)

Indeed. I haven't bought Arkham City for the silliest of reasons: it's raining ALL the time and its dark and dreary! I like sunlight and bright surrounding when I play games!

Ha - I completely agree. It ALWAYS gloomy and dark.puts me off for some reason.

Just done the second mission on MGS. Must say, I'm hardly Jack Bauer. The enemy is always spotting me, I just end unloading on them (a tactic which I doubt will work as I progress).

Doesn't Kiefer Sutherland do the voice of Snake in this game? So you ARE Jack Bauer!

Same here haha. Brilliant game so far though!

Played the Forza 6 demo last night, unbelievably good. They graphics are outstanding, though the sound is a bit meh. Definitely gonna get it and be crap at it.

Everyone who owns the new MGS- now you've had it for a while, what's it like? Still good? I'm thinking of getting it next week when I get paid

Funnily enough, I love that type of ambiance and it's one of the things that most appealed to me in the game.

Anyone played Gears of War Ultimate Edition? Great re-vamp of the original Gears of War maps, enhanced of course and loads of new additions. Made for some real nostalgia playing on Gridlock and the like!

I played Arkham Asylum recently...and the ambience was...something else haha

I have to admit, I prefer a bright colourful, peaceful world, but a very very creepy mental asylum is also good I guess.....

Loving it, so much to do pumped about 10 hours into it and only on 10% Only thing I would say some of the missions become a bit repetitive, extract this extract that ect..

Arghhhh I'm getting very excited about this, my copy is arriving tomorrow! All games, as good as they are, have the same basic gameplay principles (go here, fight that, fetch this, kill that)  so this doesn't really put me off at all.
