May 17, 201214 yr lets hope he has a good game, I can accept losing fairly, but losing due to refball is the worst thing ever. Doubt hell play but bench is a good shout, remember the squad lose 3/4 players before they name the team and bench but a great experience for him never the less.
May 17, 201214 yr No you are totally and utterly wrong, again,..... I dont see any similarity, the difference between a supporter who TOTALLY gives up on his team when they are losing 2-0 and starts blasting the players on a public forum (remember these comments were made in the first half with game still in progress), and a supporter not being able to stomach watching a penalty kick shootout because their nerves are shot to bits from watching the last 120 minutes......A MASSIVE CANYON sized difference between the two. Well, I see it as a supporter who feels that Chelsea is going to blow it once again in PKs, and thus does not watch for that reason. Say what you like, but that is probably what you feel deep down inside. I watched the PKs feeling that we could do it, but I was wrong. So, I see it in both situations as a supporter who has lost faith in his/her team. I don't expect you to reveal you deep down thoughts, so no need to respond. Edited May 17, 201214 yr by Phillip
May 17, 201214 yr That post was made in a thread about the referee, someone merged it into here and it now looks like it's about kane... heh
May 17, 201214 yr What's that all about? Is he imitating smoking a doobie? If so, his technique is awful. Very inefficient inhale.

May 17, 201214 yr Just read an item about right wing German skins wanting to sort out chelseas "Headhunters"...Whatever you guys n girls are doing, wherever you are pissing it, just be alert to your surroundings
May 17, 201214 yr Why have we got idiots saying play Malouda on the right, play Torres on the left, play Bertrand on the right of a front three .. ? I know, let's play the diamond. Are any of you aware this is the CL Final, this isn't some meaningless end-of-season encounter against Blackburn, this is the single biggest club game of football anywhere in the world, why would we be putting players in positions they've never played before, ever, in their whole careers, why would be fielding kids (Lukaku for God's Sake !?), who barely have five minutes of first-team experience, in a game of this magnitude, and in an unfamiliar position? Are you MAD? Rant over.
May 17, 201214 yr Well, it does put the opposition on tilt, so-to-speak, and makes them have to think of ways to counter our strange lineup.

I'm hearing nothing about it over here.
May 17, 201214 yr What's that all about? Is he imitating smoking a doobie? No, it's a French gesture that means "perfection" . You put your fingers and thumb together, touch them to your lips and blow a kiss in the air - but I admit it does look as if you're puffing away on something aromatic! Edited May 17, 201214 yr by moi

Maybe it's because I am a long standing supporter who has followed Chelsea all over the UK and Europe for over 30 years, and It hurts me when we lose way more than any plastic could ever imagine, no need to reply, I know the answer.
May 17, 201214 yr Well, it does put the opposition on tilt, so-to-speak, and makes them have to think of ways to counter our strange lineup. a 4-2-3-1 with Torres on the right isn't "strange" enough to cause anyone to "think" about ways of countering it. Your argument only works if you have a formation where we overload them in places and they need to deal with it (eg. 3-5-3 where the wingbacks push high up and help to overload the opposition fullbacks). If they see Torres on the right, they'll just think "oh, Torres is on the right" and carry on rather than having to think of a way of countering it...
May 17, 201214 yr Great. Put Torres in goal. Time of the month?.. Don't know if you realise but through suspension and injuries we as a squad are flat on our arse. Give them a go they wouldn't be there if they weren't highly regarded would they. And yes pal were all aware just how important it is. None of us wants to lose it. We had an important game to play against Liverpool away to play and played our strong team, where did that get us.
May 17, 201214 yr I might suggest that Todd kane isn't travelling purely as a full back. He's an accomplished right midfielder as well. If we're in need of added defensive cover on that side, as in Torres is struggling to defend (he tries hard but lets be honest he's not very good at it) he might be an interesting option. Similar to what a few have suggested with Bertrand on the left of midfield but Kane is more natural there... just a thought and he obviously won't start in a game like this (not yet).
May 17, 201214 yr Man city fan here, good luck for Saturday.hope you are as lucky for this match as you were for the semis.you defended brilliantly. Stuff them.
May 17, 201214 yr Robbie already told that he's taking a big squad to Münich, so Todd Kane probably will only sit in the stands.

Well put totally right.
