Joey Barton's French Accent

Featured Replies

Funnily enough, French people do find it easier to understand English people if they speak with French intonation, and that's exactly what Joey Barton is doing - he's not doing a Hello Hello piss-take, he's just raising and lowering his voice in French patterns rather than English. I wonder if someone taught him to do that or if he has just subconsciously adopted it?

Joseph Barton â€@Joey7Barton

In my defence, it is very difficult to do a press conference in Scouse for a room full of French journalists.

That's basically what he's said. God knows what he was thinking...

Heard his interview on Talksport played against the music from the crap old BBC sitcom,'allo,'allo.Unbelivable really and after the week that's passed, was a welcome relief.

Joey Barton is a gift that just keeps on giving and he truly is football's first, full sized rectum.

Joeys a funny guy...I never liked him but he ho lets not complain if we try to get him in January, maybe Steven Hunt as well.

Scouse fool.

Wish he'd retire and live in recluse

And Anton Ferdinand!

PS - why does he refer to the 'Atlantic - does he think that it is between England and France?

Let's Parlez Francenscouse.

Part V: At the Tribunal

Monsieur Joey Barton, he dit:

So, any 'ow, ze reason zat ah kick-ed le petit wanquer, c'est very simple. 'E calls moi un scouse twat. Zut alors! Zis is incroyable! Je suis un complete français now. J'ai learned the lingo an' all zat, lar.

And in any case, je gave 'im onlee a leetle tap, OK? Just un petit frappe sur le cheek, in a friendly façon, right? Et zen 'e pushes me back et calls moi un scouse twat. Well, j'ai lost mon rag at cette point, vous understand? So j'ai laid into ze wanquer and gave 'im some vrai shoeing.

So, en conclusion, monsieur big fromage adminsitratif, je wish to plead not guilty, sur les grounds of self-defence, responsabilité diminué and le mistaken identity, as eet was not moi an' ah was in bed asleep at ze time.

Merci and god bless youse. A toute a l'heure an' tha'.

(shamelessly nicked from another forum)
