Lukaku to Everton

Featured Replies

That's another round of rumors. I believe, Cavani will be too expensive for Chelsea to consider. Perhaps we might see Lukaku being pushed out & Chelsea's management buys Cavani?

Spot on

I don't think anyone is doubting him as a player, and maybe he can go on to become even better. But instead of walking into the dressing room and seeing a 33 year old Eto'o, Demba Ba who has a dodgy knee (who was leaving on loan), and Torres who hasn't been on form since 2010, then deciding to leave for Everton, he should have had been happy to have that lot as competition.

Definitely, he should have believed in his own ability enough to think he could overtake those players, with the way last season went he would have definitely gotten his chance.

Would Lukaku make the switch from Everton to Liverpool?

I know he was only at the toffees on loan but he's still got to have an appreciation of how badly that would go down?

paper talk at this point in time, but I doubt he'd care much to be honest. £26 million.... sincerely hope we would be re-investing that in a top talent as the prospect of going into a season with ba and torres as backup is f**king horrendous. One injury to costa and we have to deal with fernando drifting out wide and getting the ball tangled underneath his feet.

I cant handle it.

Personally I don't see us selling to a title rival so I can't see us allowing Lukaku to go to Liverpool even if he was open to the switch.

We sold Mata to United because Jose was comfortable with where they were placed in the league and it's unlikely they'll be threatening us again this season.

Mourinho didn't allow Ba to join Arsenal on loan last summer so I can't see how he would allow Lukaku to go to Liverpool even if he doesn't rate him as a player.

Will liverpool be a rival? Without rat boy I dont think they'll be anywhere near challenging for the league. Can see them falling off a cliff (hopefully at least!)

Well they finished 2nd last season ahead of us and were doing just fine without him at the start of the season whilst he was suspended for their opening fixtures so selling them a proven Premier League goal scorer isn't going to be the smartest of moves to aid them with the loss of Suarez.

They're not a one man team by any means regardless of how talented Suarez is and I think they should very much been seen as rivals still meaning we shouldn't do business with each other.

Also I highly doubt that the club really looks too much at rivalries where business is concerned - and it is a business remember. The club have an £18m investment that didn't pay off and they want to get rid. I very much doubt that emotions come into it.

If he played second fiddle to Origi in the WC then I can only assume he would play third fiddle behind Origi and Sturridge....just as well stay here then

Lukaku cost £10M with 7 million more to be added as incentives, and I'm pretty sure those incentives were not fulfilled. The club has a bigger problem though, it's a £50m investment that failed miserably and occupies an unwarranted place in the squad because no other club wants him.

Utd won't be threatening us this season? What planet are you from?

Hmmm..they essentially have a strenghtened title winning team with one of the best managers in the world..they'll probably threaten every team in the league.

Liverpool will be strong with Sturridge leading the line plus they have a lot of money to get stronger. But I don't think they will be as strong as they were. Suarez dragged them to second.

No team in Premier League history has finished the previous season outside of the top 4 and then gone on to win the title the following season.

There's too much work to do for van Gaal to transform that side from a mid table team to title challengers.

I said it in another thread, so far they've spent £60m on two players without actually improving the team and they're struggling to fit their three best players RVP, Rooney and Mata into a system that brings out the best in them.

I'm not worried about them.

Liverpool was pretty damned close though. Lets not act like Utd have finished outside the top 4 consistently, they hired a sh*t manager and bought some sh*t players and it all went belly up. Van Gaal will right that ship and they will be the pain im the arse they have always been.
