Tired of all this drama with this guy. He may have an enormous physique but he has the brain of an 11 year old child. I wish the club and/or Jose would just come out already with their plans that way we and Lukaku knows. Either he is forced to fight for his spot or he is sold. If he throws the rattle from the pram like he did last year and thinks he deserves to start, sell him to Italy or France but not an English club. That way we won't jave to hear him badmouth us every chance he gets like the other spoiled brat who thought he was entitled to be given the starting role of his choice.

All I see is opinions based on speculation. I or any of you don't know what is going to happen with Lukaku.

There's no doubt about his quality as a backup, but is he willing?

Not sure why he is in talks with another club while still having two more years remaining on his Chelsea contract but frankly don't care either. I don't think Jose nor the Club care either. Sooner this child leaves the better. Another Nicholas Bedtner in my opinion. Too arrogant, too cockey, no maturity, and grankly no where near as good as he thinks he is.

I think our attack will definitely benefit from his presence this coming season, if we can keep him ... I wouldn't want to be going into the new season with Torres still in contention tbh.

And.. i've yet to see a quote (and he's not short of giving them) where he says he wants to come back to 'his' club and prove (by hard work) that he merits a regular start..

It's all been how HE wants this and HE wants that, the days of 'taking quotes out of context' are long gone, his English is excellent, as is his fathers i believe.

 

The lad has got swept up in the glory of being a pro footballer, that, along with some dubious advice is going to send him to mediocrity, the fact that NO 'trophy chasing' club has been mentioned says it all really.

 

As with Sturridge, there is something amiss here, i cannot believe he wouldn't be considered before Ba, and possibly Torres. 

Jose/The club don't want him, they have their reasons.... we'll see if the are proved right, in the very near future.

Apparently, Martinez wants Lukaku for 18m. I think Chelsea paid that much for him. I hope that he stays on.

We paid £12m I believe, with it possibly rising to £18m. Given that he's had 2 pretty good seasons in the PL scoring lots of goals, you'd tihnk we could get more than that.

If he has no will to fight for his place I don't care for what money he is sold. He was a fan of the team, faced the real world, threw his toys, didn't show any signs of humility=not chelsea quality

He has potential to be but I don't think he's there yet. He has so much to learn as a footballer and if he doesn't learn fast he may never learn.

You may be right however unless he sorts his attitude out I don't think it will ever happen, if we were to sell him abroad now then I'd be all for it as he's not really shown any interest in fighting for a place.

I don't think he is prepared to take Costa, Torres on. He won't beat Costa & he knows that. Torres is staying no matter how sh*tty he gets. So Lukaku is out of the team. He won't sit around as a 3rd choice. I don't blame him.
