Posted March 26, 201312 yr Crap again from England. It's so damn hard supporting England, every time something goes wrong it's always for the same reasons, the players that are getting picked are just not good enough. Why exactly is Lescott, Smalling, Johnson, Cleverley, Milner, Young and Welbeck getting picked ? I don't give a sh*t if they are playing for top Premier league teams, it doesn't mean they are good enough. These players get picked again and again and again and fail nearly every game they play for England, it's just not right. When these players were playing for different clubs they weren't getting picked for England then so why the hell should they be picked now ? I'm sick of this sh*t, the problem is so clear to see but nothing EVER changes. We will never ever move on as an international side unless this ridiculous biased favortism changes. Do these coaches involved in England even watch English footballers outside of the top teams ? clearly they don't.
March 26, 201312 yr A savage part of me wants to see England fail to qualify for the World Cup. Can you imagine the level of humiliation?
March 26, 201312 yr Most of the teams in the prem play 4-2-3-1 or at least the players that get picked play that formation so why doesn't Roy just use the formation they'll be used to playing in week in week out? Not sure how any of the Liverpool players make the team when they're garbage 9/10 weeks. Walker is a much better player than Johnson. Welbeck isn't a winger either, why not put Ox in there? Painful to watch
March 26, 201312 yr Author A savage part of me wants to see England fail to qualify for the World Cup. Can you imagine the level of humiliation? I said i don't think we will qualify when we screwed up away to Poland. Who the hell struggles in a group with the likes of Moldova and San Marino ?
March 26, 201312 yr The ITV interview dick's second question was about camel face, what an obsession!
March 26, 201312 yr The ITV interview dick's second question was about camel face, what an obsession! Yeah I saw that too... I really hate being English sometimes, other nations have their sh*t together when it comes to International football... we're bickering and fighting like schoolchildren.

Painful to watch If you was to ask anyone but a Liverpool fan which player has been the better player in the last 2 seasons out of Walker and Johnson they would say Walker. I wouldn't play Chamberlain either to be honest, i think he has been bollocks for Arsenal this season, but due to injuries i guess we should be playing him. He's 100x better than Milner that's for sure. This guy getting picked is really pissing me off now, HE DOESN'T DO ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!

I really hate being English sometimes, other nations have their sh*t together when it comes to International football... we're bickering and fighting like schoolchildren. So true. I don't give a damn if the whole England team is made out of assholes i just want a team who are getting picked on merit, not what sh*tty club they play for or their reputation.

Feel stupid saying this but that game was dying for Walcott. Loved the pundits saying there aren't many goal scorers in the team and not mentioning Lampard
March 26, 201312 yr I didn't think we were that bad , good first half but then the midfield in the second was awful. Cleverly looked out of his depth again, Gerrard was awful, went for a few spectaculars towards the end to make him look the hero like always when his all round game was gash... And the tactical choice to bring on Young, seriously how does he get a game. The rest I thought were okay'ish .... They/we/media/pundits need to accept that Montenegro is about the level we can expect from this group of players Game was crying out for Lamps experience in second half even Townsend called it.

March 26, 201312 yr There are so many things wrong these days that the more time goes by, the more my interest dwindles. 1, The FA have been a shambles for years and the JT situation was really just the tip of the iceberg. We all know how selective they can be in their decision making in the way of punishment towards certain players. 2, The media and press driven expectancy. It's always been there. We win a friendly or two against a top side and suddenly we're going to win the World Cup. Too many England fans gobble it up and believe it. 3, There doesn't seem to be a togetherness anymore. We're all biased and we want to see our club players do the business, but I've always said when it comes to England it doesn't matter whether you particularly like a certain player or the club he plays for. When they pull on the England shirt they are representing us all and we should all get behind them. These days however I don't see the point. What's the point in me saying "great ball from Gerrard" or "what a strike from Rooney" when I then get a Liverpool fan saying " f**k off Lampard" or a Manc saying "Terry's a c**t". If you can't beat them join them. The bottom line is until the whole structure of the FA changes and it actually feels as if we can support them with a feeling of pride there's absolutely no point really giving a sh*t!
March 26, 201312 yr I'd say the blame on Hodgson can only go so far, and we've got to acknowledge that we really just don't have that good a crop of players to pick from.
March 26, 201312 yr I just hope that it doesn't degenerate into an inquisition against the amount of foreign players in the Premier League. Sure, it means that England has a smaller pool of 'top flight' players (namely forwards) to choose from but it also means that England still has what is arguably the most open and welcoming top competition in world football. Personally, it's a price I'm happy to pay.
March 26, 201312 yr 90 minutes for Milner, no time for Lampard when chasing a goal, well played Hodgeson. I don't mind it at all, good rest for Lampard heading into the double header this Easter weekend.
March 26, 201312 yr Cap looking better and better by the day. Thinks most people realise that the national team is pretty average overall, and has been for a while now. (have long stated my oppinions as to why) I said it when the whole world was on his back but getting to major tournaments and qualifying from the group stage should be all we expected and actually in my oppinion could be considered an over achievement. Uncle Woy not even in the same league as fabio
March 27, 201312 yr England were Chelsea-esque in the way we dominated the first half and were hopeless in the second until the inevitable equaliser. Beyond Rooney, Cole and a couple of others, just too many average players... Welbeck, Cleverley, Johnson, Milner, Young...
March 27, 201312 yr That second half was a complete shambles and very reminiscent of Chelsea in recent times. Why the f**k did Hodgson wait so long to bring on a sub when any fool watching could see Montenegro were bossing the game and were gonna score sooner or later. And why use only one sub and the useless Ashley Young at that? Yet another case of same old, same old. How many times do we hear about England getting rid of the dead wood and start blooding the youngsters only for the same old dross to be dished up. It has to be time to draw a line and get rid of all the sajme old faces who have had more than enough chances and in with the new. Out of last night's lot I would only retain Hart, Smalling, Rooney and Wellbeck (handy squad player but not a regular starter). Even Ash's top level days look over to me. You've got your 100 caps now quit before you get axed.
March 27, 201312 yr I think the last time I really got excited about England, was France 98. We had some good characters then, I found the likes of Tony Adams, David Batty and even Martin Keown easy to get behind. Not like today, cannot stand seeing Rooney score, he's so angry, even in happy moments he comes across as a complete thug, just cannot get behind him, Gerrard.....meh.
March 27, 201312 yr Look at last nights starting line up. 01 Hart 02 Johnson 03 Cole 05 Lescott 06 Smalling 04 Gerrard 07 Milner 08 Carrick 11 Cleverley (Young - 78' ) 09 Welbeck 10 Rooney How many of those players are nailed on first team players for their clubs? Easily less than half of them. Liverpool are 7th in the league and yet you have both Gerrard and Johnson in the team when you have Walker at Spurs playing well in the top 4 and you have Frank Lampard recently scoring his 200th league goal for Chelsea.... Tell me who the form players are? Welbeck is arguably 4th choice striker at United and yet is starting the game last night, according to the BBC in 34 appearance for United this season he has 2 goals.

March 27, 201312 yr Nice to see that super captain of ours playing in his "proper" position take a grip of the game like we are constantly told he will. Did an incredible disappearing act in the 2nd half.
March 27, 201312 yr Nice to see that super captain of ours playing in his "proper" position take a grip of the game like we are constantly told he will. Did an incredible disappearing act in the 2nd half. I only watched the second half so can only judge us on that but from what I watched it was the same old Stevie Me as always. But he's look very slow now days... The was a moment when instead going in for a tackle properly he just tried to hood the ball away/into a player and it ended up almost deflecting in (from outside the area) into our goal. Why does everything he does involve smashing the ball? Such as his 50 year passes that often just drift out of play.
