August 20, 201510 yr yeah i agree mate they will not being doing all this just for a few extra quid will they hopefully we'll see the junior tickets made easily affordable at least seeing as the club plans to increase the junior seats a lot. Bringing through the next generation of fans would be a big achievement I think
August 20, 201510 yr City were struggling to keep their stadium full before they expanded. I don't even know why they bothered expanding the stadium really, it seems pointless if they couldn't even fill it up before the expansion. I don't think Chelsea will have the same problem, Stamford Bridge is pretty full as it is now, getting to 60,000 shouldn't be too hard. Our fanbase has grown massively since the arrival of Roman. indeed but will we fill out for a Wednesday night capital one cup game to the likes of Macclesfield etc? We'd be lucky to get 50,000 for them games I think
August 20, 201510 yr indeed but will we fill out for a Wednesday night capital one cup game to the likes of Macclesfield etc? We'd be lucky to get 50,000 for them games I think Even teams like United would fail to fill their stadium up in a League Cup match against lower league teams. I'm sure we will get it full in the Premier League and Champions League games.
August 20, 201510 yr Even teams like United would fail to fill their stadium up in a League Cup match against lower league teams. I'm sure we will get it full in the Premier League and Champions League games. agreed entirely but bear in mind United rarely drop below 65-70000 even for the 'insignificant' games
August 20, 201510 yr indeed but will we fill out for a Wednesday night capital one cup game to the likes of Macclesfield etc? We'd be lucky to get 50,000 for them games I think The away team would get so many tickets to help fill the gaps ie 25% or 15,000 seats. Macclesfield or whoever will bring 15,000 even though they don't have that many fans. It is their day out after all............ so the whole town pops along.
August 20, 201510 yr And to think we used to have a capacity of 100,000 but there was no health & safety in those days.... people just got on with life as they wished not being told what they can or cannot do...
August 20, 201510 yr I have to say, the league cup has been a cheap ticket for the last few seasons and we've sold out every single match because of it. The Arsenal away huge allocation and the war vs. Liverpool last year stand out for me. I think if we have a 60,000 stadium and the match is against a lower league side we'd still get close to selling out the stadium providing the League Cup ticket prices stay the same.
August 20, 201510 yr The whole point of a new stadium is increasing match attendance, gotta think the club have thought this one through already.

August 20, 201510 yr City are doing season cards for £299, all their sts got the option to move to a new singing area hence their good atmosphere the other day.
August 20, 201510 yr City are doing season cards for £299, all their sts got the option to move to a new singing area hence their good atmosphere the other day. we should look at getting the current MH and Shed end season ticket holders together to create a good atmosphere
August 20, 201510 yr we should look at getting the current MH and Shed end season ticket holders together to create a good atmosphere Yeah totally agree mate, hopefully our supporters groups will have an impact.
August 20, 201510 yr United has a lot of empty seats for mid week league cup games. They announce big attendance because all season tickets are charged for their seats whether they're there or not
August 20, 201510 yr United has a lot of empty seats for mid week league cup games. They announce big attendance because all season tickets are charged for their seats whether they're there or not I heard the also give free tickets to local schools
August 20, 201510 yr I heard the also give free tickets to local schools as someone from Manchester I can confirm this. City do as well as do the local cricket teams. It's not a bad idea tbh- gets the kids involved and adds to the future fanbase
August 21, 201510 yr as someone from Manchester I can confirm this. City do as well as do the local cricket teams. It's not a bad idea tbh- gets the kids involved and adds to the future fanbase And it looks better then empty seats Edited August 21, 201510 yr by bluegraham
August 21, 201510 yr Regards giving tickets away, i cant see why when the likes of Hull for example dont sell out their allocation & there's a big block of empty seats local schools & community youth clubs cant be given the tickets, it'd be great PR for Chelsea, loads of kids might then start to support us if they dont already which will benefit the club in the future, its not rocket science.
August 21, 201510 yr I have to say Man City have sorted their new three tiered stand to perfection in every way, sts were given the chance to move to a new singing area in the stand which most did, season cards were sold at only £299 as well, they've actually listened to their supporters groups & worked with them, i just hope Chelsea will do the same.
August 22, 201510 yr City costs so little because a) their owners don't need the money as they've already fiddled the income and b) because they have hardly any fans compared to United.
August 22, 201510 yr City costs so little because a) their owners don't need the money as they've already fiddled the income and b) because they have hardly any fans compared to United. What bit like Chelsea.

August 23, 201510 yr Why is there a limit of 50k at Wembley? The capacity is 85k as mentioned before - so why cut it to 50k?
