Tony Cascarino believes there is a possibility that José Mourinho could bring Cristiano Ronaldo with him to Chelsea should he return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Portuguese coach is the heavy favourite to take over from interim boss Rafael Benítez at Chelsea in the summer as he continues to be linked with an exit from Real Madrid.

It has also been suggested that Ronaldo is prepared to quit the Bernabéu this summer, with the 28-year-old linked with a return to Manchester United, as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

But former Chelsea striker Cascarino believes that Mourinho could take the Portugal international with him to west London should he secure a return to the club he managed between 2004 and 2007.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Cristiano Ronaldo ends up at Chelsea,†Cascarino told talkSPORT.

“There are lots of times in football where managers leave a club and bring players with them.

“Everyone is assuming that he would go to Manchester United if he was to leave Real Madrid, which he probably will do, because it’s their last chance to get a really big fee for him.

“But Chelsea have broken the [transfer] record so many times and Mourinho has the same agent.â€

Ronaldo Mata Hazard, let that sink in for awhile.

Won't happen though as long as hes under contract with Madrid, although im pretty sure Roman would love to have that sort of player here.

Anyone would love to have Ronaldo

He's ludicrously good...and he's already proven he can play in the EPL. He would be, literally, the perfect signing.

But not one we will make.

I would have said that is impossible 3 days ago, however now with Fergie gone from United and not knowing how close Jose/CR7 are, i'd say it's within the realms of possibility.

Would cost a sh*t load of money though, I heard that when United were planning to do it that Nike or someone were going to offer to cough up a substantial portion of the fee in exchange for sponsorship rights or something?

Assuming it would cost in the 60-70m + region for the transfer alone, not to mention probably the worlds biggest wages, I really can't see us doing it unless Roman really has a point to prove, it would be an amazing sight seeing him here though, the worlds best player in my opinion.

I wouldn't want him here at Chelsea, i don't like the guy. He makes everything about himself and has forgotten what its like to play as a team. Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot. It's all he does. If Ronaldo is 40 yards out with better options he will shoot on goal.

It won't happen anyway.

Ronaldo Mata Hazard, let that sink in for awhile.

I was thinking more

Oscar - Mata - Hazard

Ronaldo

But yeah, never going to happen.

I don't care how selfish he is or whatever, a player with 200 goals in 198 games is welcome here.

With over 2000 shots for one club i would expect someone to score 200 goals for them, you could even argue that he doesn't score enough with the amount of shots he has. There's a reason why he scores so many goals and this is one of the main reasons.

I would bet that you won't find another player in the world who has had as many shots on goal as Ronaldo, i'm sure if they were as greedy as him they would have a similar amount of goals.

He's a great player but we would do better going for someone else, Falcao or Lewandowski would better choices than Ronaldo.

No doubt, we need a striker and Ronaldo is at his best cutting in from the left. I just wouldn't say no to him coming here. It's unrealistic anyway.

He is the model pro. He works on everything from Monday to Friday to make sure he's the best he can be on Saturday. He would just been sensational but it will not happen. He would want to win a CL with Madrid and would probably fancy his chances of regaining La Liga next year.

A player that takes on shots and scores goals, what a travesty, we should stick with our current #9 that doesn't take on the shots to begin with but hes a great team player.

Yes he take shots and scores goals, but like i said with the amount of shots he has taken, which is nearly 2000 for one club, he should score this many and possibly more. I am sure if someone like Falcao had taken 2000 shots he would have scored twice as many goals as Ronaldo.

Anyway i'm not saying he shouldn't take shots i just think that he takes FAR too many shots, even when there are better options. I find it funny that some Chelsea fans would moan about Sturridge being greedy and have a bad attitude ( which i never seen once ) yet would welcome Ronaldo with open arms. Yeah Ronaldo is a far better player but he's also 100x more greedy and has one of the most annoying attitudes in the world, it's like watching a child having a tantrum when watching Ronaldo.

As a team we would be far better off going for someone else. If we want everything to be all about one player then Ronaldo would be a fantastic choice, because let's face it if we got Ronaldo chances are he would make it all about himself.

I prefer Ronaldo to Messi, he has better physical attributes in his height and strength to adapt against a wider variety of teams. We all know how Messi has performed in the past against our more physical defensive sides.

Either way Ronaldo will never come to Chelsea.
