18 year old striker apparently, hopefully one of our Croatian fans can fill us in.

Quick notes on Perica from a trusted Croatian view: Has previously said he'd love to play for Everton, so interest/deal with Chelsea a shock

Perica: Scored 8 goals in Croatian league as a 17 year-old, tall and strong CF type, not dissimilar to Jelavic. Expect loan moves.

Bit of a strange one.

Can't say I've ever heard of him, doubt there will be many on here that have.

Did someone order an obligatory Youtube video, featuring alot of tap ins?

(from WAGNH on sbnation)

You start this video thinking "Wow, a football highlight video with good music for once", but soon enough you see that some DJ has even ruined the Doobie Brothers.

I don't know how I feel about us stockpiling all of these young players

Me neither. Seems weird seeing as we do not use many of our promising youth products.

its the FFP strategy at work, buy 10 prospects for low cost, loan them all out for 1,2 + seasons and avoid wages expenses, bank on all players values increasing somewhat in that time period, after multiple loans 1 or 2 may make the 1st team squad, sell on the balance for a profit (large or not) which is a sound buiness plan and fingers crossed adds players to squad without huge transfer fees

What general said, its a good gamble by the club really, and something that needs to be done. Best case is we hit the jackpot and one or two go on to be first choice for us, but the majority will be sold on at a profit.

Ahhh, that makes sense now. Thanks General.

What ever happened to 3PM Saturday 11 players and a couple of subs, a few beers and maybe/hopefully a fight afterwards.

That was just a movie, nothing to do with life as we know it.

That's exactly the reason we buy all these young kids - how many of them actually go on to become household Chelsea names? It's not just with this kid either it's been a long line of players we've done this with. Get excited over a players potential only to never see them play in the first team -bar a couple of Carling Cup/late on in the season appearances then off they go...

Maybe that's me being cynical?

Good luck to him, i'll be the optimist of the thread and say I look forward to the partnership he forms with Lukaku in 6 years time!

Not really stockpiling, ever since Roman bought the club we have invested in youth players from other clubs. The fact that FFP has come in just makes it more important.

A lot of nice touches and finishes in the clip. Looks more mobile and technically gifted than the big lump Jelavic
